How to Play an Orc

Post » Wed Nov 30, 2011 11:36 pm

So I am starting an alternate character tonight and I am thinking of running an Orc (because they are badass). Are there any tips/advice that I need before going down this road?

I am planning on running a pure warrior focusing on One Handed weapons, Blocking, and Heavy Armor (and possibly Archery). Anything else I need to train (besides smithing)? Should I ignore bows/long range completely?

Thanks peeps.

You can play it however you want, do you want to not use a bow? If not, don't use a bow. There isn't a right or wrong way to play the game.

I'm playing an Orc, and I'm definitely not ignoring archery now because I can't get a dragon to land without it. I still run up and finish it with an one-handed weapon, though.

If youre really playing an orc, then you wont do the role any justice unless you make sure to remember to often sneak into peoples houses at night and take a dump on the heads of sleeping children.

:D Naughty!

Just make sure its a candy or toy dump. You wouldnt want a family vendetta on your hands.

I think the orc specific weapons give bonuses so you may want to look into how useful that may be when playing that race. Also think Power! Power! Power! by using maces and warhammers while wearing heavy armor. Plenty of good spell buffs and enchanted items to help with this are out there just waiting for your Ork to greet them and take them home to the halls of Orsinium.

you have to be naked and wear an amulet of mara everywhere. Then start talking to every single person of the opposite six. Also, always jump about, never run in a straight line. If you see stuff on a table all neatly arranged, you have to throw/push it everywhere on the floor.

Also, don't use any weapons. Must be hand to hand.

This is how I shall play my orc.

Good advice!

Oh and I am also thinking, besides the above quoted build, I will do Two Handed, Archery, and Heavy Armor.

I think that could be a fun one.

Children don't sleep in Riverwood, and I'm pretty sure everywhere else too
