I missed that part of the tutorial and never really matterred to me whether or not I knew.

Now, there are some things I've read on these forums that make me want to know now.

I thought it said something about holding down the attack button (mouse 1 or whatever hand your weapon is in) but I do that and it seems not to make a difference.

It's just that, rather than tapping the mouse button you hold it.

To notice the difference more easily do it with a big 2 handed weapon. The power attack with dual wielding weapons doesn't look too different from simply smashing both of the mouse buttons repeatedly.

It will be easier to see if you are in third person mode. You will actually see your toon charge a blow before delivering it.

You would know if you did a power attack or not by seeing if your Stamina bar emptied. If it is already empty you of course won't be able to do to begin with.

The power attack is also accompanied by a war cry and hernia.
