How powerful is the Dovahkiin?

Post » Sat Jun 23, 2012 6:34 am

I was jusy doing the daedric quest for Clavicus Vile quest and at the end there is a piece of dialogue where he mentions, that without Barbas, he is at half his strength and that at the moment the Dovahkiin is as strong as he is. Going by this the Dovohkiin essentially has the strength of a minor god and could well be on his way to godhood.

I may just be talking out of my [censored] so feel free to correct me.

Dragonborn is either a Shezzarine (incarnation of Shor) or a dragon in a human container.

(S)He is already the strength of a minor deity.

Of course assuming that Vile wasn't lying.

Well, the latter is pretty much the description of Dragonborn. He's certainly on the road to being a Shezzarine also.

Though it could be that Clavicus was just exaggerating though.

And Dawnguard isnt even out yet. I wonder how powerful he'll be on the Dark Side of that. Considering it allows him to consume mortal souls in addition to Dragon Souls... And there will probably be unique surprises in the Soul Cairn.

Dovahkiin mantles Alduin, calling it right here.

Only if. Sheo for all intents and purposes could of been a vampire as well, and...well ya know. Denominations like that are rendered moot either way once you start climbing the metaphysical latter.

And in order to walk like Alduin you would have to do a lot more than eat souls. If he enslaves humanity... then he's walking like a boss.

Alduin his primary purpose is not to enslave people it's to eat them and the Kalpa with it. Would be awesome of if the Dovahkiin mantles Alduin and becomes the new Alduin... Way cooler then mantling Talos

That would defeat the whole point of the main quest which is why I dislike that theory.

In Oblivion you stopped one Daedric prince from walking around on Tamriel just to later turn into another Daedric prince that walks around on Tamriel.

I have heard rumors that Thuum Masters can shout cities to pieces, so I guess he is pretty badass. Not to mention that he stopped the end of an entire kalpa, and I'm sure that stopping a kalpa isn't something you do just like that. Wasn't it the Leaper Demon who maybe is Mehrunes Dagon who failed to do this multiple times. And I'm sure the Gods aren't that fond of end of kalpas either, with them dying and all, but I havent seen any of them doing nothing about it. (Except maybe sending a Dragonborn in Alduins direction, but this just proves my point.)
Aaaaaaand who won the civil war (as far as we know), was basically the one who had last Dragonborn on their team.

I like the Dovahkiin mantles/replaces Alduin because it's also a sure-fire way of defeating the Thalmor. Eat Mundas, and you restart Time and prevent the Thalmor from returning to the Dawn Era of non-linear Time.

I'd guess that by the end of each expansions' MQ, if not already, Dovahkiin is already pretty much the biggest badass on Tamriel. S/he appears to be the kind of hero that sets their own place in the mythic, whose limits seem to be pretty much just whatever problem is put in front of them.

Yeah, Dovohkiin is showing great promise at the moment, and it comes as no surprsise he has the power of a minor deity, absorbing the souls of immortal beings may have something to do with that. Anyone think Dovahkiin will end up absorbing the soul of someone big? i.e. a deadric prince? maybe even an aedra. The souls Dovahkiin can absorb is expanding to human souls witb Dawnguard, so we'll see.

Alduin is unnecessary to reload the Mundus for an update, because Talos defragments it. Of course, the Thalmor are trying to uninstall him. If Alduin eats the world, time restarts at the Dawn Era anyways, so Alduin is advancing the Thalmor's goals. Talos needs to remain as to stop both Alduin and the Thalmor.

Hmm, the way I recall it Alduin doesn't delinearize time. He just winds it back to zero, and then lets it run linearly again until it runs out, and he eats the world and sets everything back to zero again.

Also, saying "time restarts at the Dawn Era" kinda doesn't make sense, since there really isn't a real notion of time as we know it until after the Dawn Era.

So Talos is three hackers put together into one program?

Isn't he a shezzarine? Then again, i kinda use that term to describe most of TES's protagonists so I may be misinterpreting his having an Aedric soul, similar to that of Reman and Talos.

Btw, the dragons are Jills are lesser Aedra, right?

Some people think the Dovahkiin is a Shezzarine but I personally think he's something new and unique.
