How do I protect my dog from a dragon attack?

See subject. Dog armour? I don't want to adopt one and then have it eaten 20 hours later.

It's an interesting question. Maybe dogs will be like horses were in "Oblivion": replaceable when necessary (instead of similar to the dog in the original "Fallout"). I don't really like that possibility, but it occurs to me.

DOG ARMOR DLC!

Maybe the dragon would be less bothered about attacking your dog and more focused on attacking the big scary dragon slayer

If you're lucky the dragon might not eat it just roast it for you (I'm not using the Hot Dog joke), at least then you'll get better stat benefits from eating it, as it will already be cooked. Maybe Bethesda will even add roasted Dog Meat into one of the recipes. Yummy roasted Dog, my taste buds are going

Keep it on a tight leash, about the length of a 2-handed sword. Goddam dog owners, always letting their critters run around without a leash =)

/unsummon

But really,i hope having a dog "companion" in game is not just a spell. Makes them shallow expendable weapons to be used and abused.

Hope that the dog has the most rudimentary of sense, and actually stays out of the dragon's way so his master can deal with it
