How to raise magicka?

Post » Wed Feb 24, 2010 2:17 am

im a Redguard Knight kind of character, and i have picked Restoration. TBH it is pretty useless with my specific Redguard because has a very bad Magicka, but then i closed 10 oblivion gates and got the Fortify Magicka by 50 points or something. Ive only used about 4 because i dnt want to waste them because i might get a good enchanted armour. Anyway back to the restoration, it seems pointless that i cant heal my self very well when my endurance is 100 or so...

Can anyone give me any tips on how to raise my magicka even though i dnt use any other magic on my character :):)

THANKS

Raise your magicka by fortifying it with enchantments like the one you found and by raising your intelligence when you level up.

Reduce the cost of your restoration spells by increasing your level of skill with restoration. The higher your restoration skill, the less magicka it costs to cast restoration spells - by a lot.

If you use alchemy, you can make restore magicka potions to quickly help replenish magicka.

If you can make your own spells at the enchanting altars (like by getting into the Arcane University), you can just make a really weak healing spell and cast it over and over on yourself. I'm guessing by the nature of your character however, this may not be his mug of cider.

Therefore, just take the little healing spell you start the game with and keep casting it. It will still give you experience even if you are at full health. You can use potions to help refill your magicka as you do this or just wait for your magicka to regenerate. Toss the spell on yourself as you walk along.

Oh, if you use some alchemy and/or conjuration and/or mysticism it will give you better gains available at level up time for your intelligence. Every point of intelligence your character has is two points of magicka.
