How do I remove the blur from the bcackground?

Post » Sat May 26, 2012 9:53 pm

The other day I read two good tweaks for speeding up the mouse. One was to remove the blur from the background when you go to the menu/inventory. I think it involved modifying an ini file. There was also another tweak they mentioned with this but I can't remember what it was :/

Thanks

if its depth of field you mean , you should be able to go to skyrimPrefs.ini in documents/ my games / skyrim. and set bDoDepthoffield to 0 and save it.

You need to add this to Skyrim.ini (not SkyrimPrefs.ini)

[Imagespace]bDoDepthOfField=0bDoRadialBlur=0

Depth of Field = Unsharp surroundings during dialogue.
Radial Blur = Circular blurring of the background in menu mode

Nice, but those two parameters were already in my Skyrimprefs.ini and they were already set to 0. I added them to Skyrim.ini at the end and set them both to read only. Hopefully I won't have this problem again.

Yep, but in SkyrimPrefs.ini they have absolutely no effect. You need to move them to Skyrim.ini.
