HOW I ROLL....

...Teddy Bears... Ok. last teddy bear i picked up had a Frag Mine underneath it.
Admittedly, the one before had a box of ammo right behind it so they're not All evil.

hardcoe, Normal, Stealth/sniper.
current style... First Recon. Boone entertains me, i have basically the same gun he uses just with a couple of improvements, and the idea of the 10+ year veteran sniper guiding the rookie as to which things to shoot is nice to me... doesn't hurt that i prefer the trooper to Ranger armour either, because it fits better And is pretty easy to fix.

current gear... fully modded hunting rifle, the unique service rifle, combat knife, binoculars, and a few grenades and Tomahawks. unique service rifle is in case something nasty ambushes me, Tomahawks... well, stealth and i enjoy watching the spin, spin, THUNK... yup, i'm still weird. Don't expect that to change.

Right now, set myself the task preserving the heroic, suicidal, or stupid NCR girl that Walked into a Legion raid camp with a kitchen knife, no health items, and Trooper Mantle Armour... if i hadn't been there the 3 legionaries, including Veteran, would probably have hurt more. reverse-pickpocketed some stimpaks for her.
When i'm convinced she's not going to go all Heroic on me and charge the fort the second i leave... i'll show some Deathclaws the Last thing you Never see. Deathclaw hands pay for extra ammo and parts at this stage with my perks/skills as they are.

"Unique" service rifle rather than its name... because its a great story behind that rifle, or at least the owner and if anyone in general discussion who hasn't found it yet pops in to mention their so far play style i don't want to tell them too much. Tomahawks are nice, but they were in trailer so its no big loss.

After using all of the companions and doing their quests multiple times, I've found new fun in being a lone wolf. No shoddy AI, harder situations, etc. Besides mods, I play normal difficulty, hardcoe mode, limited fast travel, and I walk from place to place instead of jog. Except sometimes the latter gets painfully boring on long stretched of highway, so I usually walk until I get bored. I do this because it feels more natural and with the timescale, the time between places is more realistic for both the real life distance and the context of the game.

I like it too. I played my first character to the point where completeing ED-E and Boones quests were unfinishable. I only had ONE history point left with Veronica and thank God I was able to find something (although I think hers don't disappear like the others.)
