When I bought my current Oblivion PC, I was using a single-display ATI card and a non-wide LCD. I've since upgraded the video card and added a 24" widescreen LCD, but due to my desk layout, I run the 24" off to the side as a secondary display, usually for watching movies while working on the primary (non-wide) display. Oblivion is the only game I play on this PC, and I'd like to make use of the widescreen if possible, but I can't seem to find any way to bring it up on the secondary display. I can drag the initial Oblivion menu to the secondary display, but once the game actually launches, it reverts to the smaller primary.

This is on a Windows Vista Home Basic system, and the card is an Asus EAH4650. Any suggestions?

When you want to play, set the widescreen as primary. Keep in mind though, that oblivion REALLY dislikes multi-monitor setups.......

Does it support widescreen resolutions, or will it look a mess?

Yep. I play on a widescreen, at 1680X1050, works great. Looks cool.



Some folks have real issues with the game crashing frequently. Others don't have a problem at all..... rather random... but, for the most part, if you run two monitors, and have issues with the game, disabling the second monitor generally improves the games attitude.
