How to Save Tarhiel, Creater of The Scroll of Icarian Flight

Post » Mon May 02, 2011 1:48 am

Begin by walking from Seyda Nee to Hla Oad, once you hear the scream, look up.

You will see Tarhiel, desperate for your help.

With accurate timing, you can pause the game right before he hits the ground.

Save, and then reload your game, and he will take damage as if he had jumped normally (aka none)

You have saved Tarhiel!!! Congratulations!

***WARNING***
He is a [censored]. He pretty much refuses to talk to you and is crabby since his scrolls backfired on him.

Hm, interesting. Me wonders if there are other ways... perhaps... summon a minion, walk into his cell, wait for the scream, and cast a large-area slowfall spell onto your minion (probably much easier than trying to hit Tarhiel). Maybe the area-effect will save Tarhiel?

If you're quick you can run to where he goes splat, and he'll fall ontop of you. Not hitting the ground but floating above your head. You can talk to him like normal if you look up.

I forgot whether or not he dies if you move and let him hit the ground though.

I saved him way back in the day by using either a levitate or slow fall spell on him... I don't remember. Either way I ended up killing him because he's a total [censored]

I never knew he could be saved. That's nice. Too bad he's so arrogant!

Interesting game this is, after years you still learn things!
