Hey,
So I am just wondering if I am able to do something in which I haven't found an answer for. So basically what I am searching for is help on getting a dragon to work properly in the scenario I have planned out for it. Originally I want the scene to play out like this:
- Player picks up a sword as part of a quest
- Sword triggers the dragon to wake up (currently he's set in the dragon mound just like the Skeleton Dragon found in Labyrinthian)
- Once the dragon finishes his walk withing the mound, he flies off to a hole in the roof.
So basically what I'm having trouble with is getting him to do all that. I know that dragons are picky with interior cells but I figured if maybe I just got it to fly through the roof, I could then set up an exterior space to fight it in. Would making the dragon an alias and part of the quest be easier? At the moment it's not. If that isn't not possible then I had an alternative solution.
Alternative solution:
- Player picks up sword as usual
- Disable player controls so that they can watch dragon climb out of the mound
- Right before the dragon takes off, have a screen shake (kind of like at Helgen) so the player is looking to the ground (as I read that you can't teleport the dragon while it's in the air) and then have it land on a distant piece that it can land on so that it may teleport to the exterior cell
- Player leaves cave to exterior cell to fight dragon
Like I stated before, I have found zero tutorials on how to do any of this so if you have anything to help, I would very much appreciate it. I have also tried to get it working with XMarkerHeading but nothing. Even if you have links to a video or article, that would really help. Thank you for your time.
EDIT: Oh also! I would like the path to be blocked by rocks and when the dragon leaves, it knocks the rocks out of the way. I'm guessing that I can setup mesh ones and just activate them so the player can push them or something, anyway thanks again if you can help a fellow NEWB modder out
