I have a mesh that's quite large (about the size of Whiterun). I was wondering how do I texture this behemoth? If I use a couple textures it will look terrible. If I use high-res textures the game will lag.
My thoughts are to use looping textures for some parts, and then different textures in transitions between the looping textures. But, I really don't know. I've never modeled anything remotely this scale.
