I am thinking about pre ordering the digital copy online, and was wondering when the game client will be available so you can download the game and have it ready at launch date.

My guess is that there will be at least one more beta to work out last-minute bugs.

Don't expect more then a week before launch. But if you want CE edition preorder earlier

They have to get the code to the manufacturer for the boxed versions anyway so if the script follows what usually happens, they'll provide the download 3-4 weeks before launch then have a launch day update patch to include in any last minute changes.

As you know beta players already download the files for 30GB, and I guess the real files download on our existing The Elder Scrolls Online main file. Am I right?

I am buying my own copy from a retail store and they told me that Key will be given early means 1-2 weeks before early access.

Hole box when game is out.

I have purchased the ICE from Bethesda and in my account there are download links for Mac and PC. I am in the beta but I think anyone who buys the game from Bethesda can download it. They will patch it before release but the last patch was a few gig and the next should not be too much more.

They are the same thing. I downloaded the beta in Jan and it was patched for the last beta play in Feb. I will just have to patch what I have for the full game.

The only way to get the final version, the game release day version, which will be patched endlessly into the future, will be to download the last build before the launch. Don't worry, download the pig.

I'm convinced! just pre ordered then Already played beta and have it installed so just the waiting game for them to patch it up

They will probably patch it for each beta and again for early access.

I don't think that the beta client will be updated and rather you will need to download a whole new client.

I hope it will be just one patch, but I won't be surprised if they put a whole new client for download.

You can download it now. Obviously that will have to be patched to reflect the next few beta tests and the final pre launch patch. There is no separate game.

That won't happen. Beta characters will get wiped as they should, this is pretty much standard procedure except for some F2P games which have a "soft launch" (going from open beta directly into the launch version).

I highly doubt it. I have never heard of an MMO doing it.

I would be upset if they did.

I have three I will use for any betas before the game, they will want to have us level a character and one is level 10 already with another at 8.

I will delete em' all if they are not wiped when I start the game. Five days is enough head start.
