How soon did you get your first legendary weapon?

Just got an Enhanced Fat Man today from an objective Lunchbox, and I think I've been playing the game since it launched on Android.

I have one vault where my first legendary weapon came within about 5 minutes from one of the freebie lunchboxes. I have another vault (with 42 dwellers in it) that doesn't have a single legendary anything.

In my first vault it came in one of the starting boxes. In second vault i got legendary dweller in the first ones (Scribe Rotchild) and in my third i got usefull legendary yesterday (52 dwellers, Hardened Gauss Rifle), but from first boxes i got legendaries too. (Lone wanderer: 2-7 dmg, Ol'painless: 5-10dmg :D )

I haven't been keeping tabs on the number of lunchboxes I've opened, but I believe I received my guided missile launcher (20-24 dmg) somewhere between 10 and 25 boxes opened. I haven't received another since, and I have never received a legendary dweller.

I've opened roughly 50-75 lunchboxes. The last dozen or so have been crappy dwellers that I send out to die (unhealthy low hitpoint counts on ALL of them) or ooooohhhh 500 caps.

I am mocked by the sounds of victory upon opening anathema. And legendary dwellers, while neato, are just health point gimped meat bags that die before everyone else. (i.e. endurance health gains are NOT retroactive.)

But the game is still enjoyable, you just have to learn some hard lessons, including fiscal responsibility -- Mr. Handy is a worthy purchase though, as he represents new content. I will gladly purchase new content!! But I want to EARN my vault superiority.

EDIT: Sorry, I also have the legendary double barrel (10-14 dmg) but that's hardly legendary. It's not like hearthstone where low cost cards have a place as far as pacing and versitility -- small damage is small damage and heavy damage is heavy damage. Perhaps if dwellers with shotguns had more speed than a dweller with a MIRV, but they both run around equally as fast with no benefits or weaknesses, just one does more than the other.

I got a Hardend Fat Man the day after it came out on Android. Sent out a lvl 1 Dweller and she found it in 23min.

Got an Enhanced Fat Man a few days later in a lunchbox. I'm at 37 Dwellers, needless to say Raiders are not a problem lol

Holy hell! That's hilarious! Are molerats that big a probem? They never seem to give me much trouble. They only take my Dwellers in a room down to about half health.

Either way that looks sick as hell man lol

The more dwellers and the higher tier room you have, the harder molerats, radroaches and fires are...

Now... I do enjoy myself with a little bit of OCD, but here's my http://i.imgur.com/APioR0H.png.... Looks like a gem,and dare I'd say it's also a lot cheaper, more efficient and easier to maintain.

OT: My first legendary on my first (crashed) vault came with the freebie first couple boxes.

On my actual working vault (see the link above) I got it after a week and a half of continuous playing. I had badly bruised ribs at the time and wasn't doing much other than FOS. I was really excited. It was the Red Ryder BB gun, and I still have it to this day! :D
