How do I start Andoran: Axis

Post » Mon Jun 20, 2011 2:44 am

Ok, so just downloaded Andoran: Axis and I've been trying to reach the landmass to no avail. I got to the boat, I slept in the bed, but haven't found a way to be transported to Andoran. I tried finding info but the net has been rather dry on this topic. The readme is also in russian. Anyone know what I'm supposed to do?

Well, I managed to get to the point of "down one drink from the barrel and go to sleep in the cozy bed". I got woken up, climbed on the deck of the boat and things started to go "metaphysical" in a way that made the Shivering Isles look rather sane and ordinary. There were some messages involved, but since I don't have the right font (let's forget the knowledge of the language) I don't have the slightest idea what that text was supposed to be. :( All in all I, need the help just as much. Any idea someone what we are supposed to do? I know I won't be able to play the mod, just would like to have a look at the new landscape.

Hey.

Since you can't play the mod (due to the language barrier), knowing how to start it won't help you, since it seems to have some kind of a multi-stage transport system (if downing a drink and sleeping in the bed didn't transport you directly there, but only to the ship journey where further quest-related events seem to be occurring, from what you say). If you can't understand what the quest requires to get there, there's little point in trying to get there the "normal" way, especially if you just want to just look around.

I would suggest just looking at the ESP in the Construction Set Details view to find the name of one of the cells added by the mod, and then in game using the console to coc to that cell. From there, hopefully you'll be able to walk around and take in the sights. If not, you could always try toggling clipping off and doing a flyover the worldspace. When you're done, just coc to Weye or wherever. You probably should then also save in some NPC-less interior, exit, then deactivate Andoran, just to prevent any possible issues down the road.

Hope this helps.

Yes, true, that is one way I could get there (I did consider it) and if I don't find out how to get there the "normal" way, then it's also the thing I'll do. I just hoped I could get to the intended starting point rather then drop myself in the middle of something (and it seems like in Andoran you really can drop yourself into something quite easily). From what I have found out in the CS "downing the drink and going to sleep" is the right way to start the whole stuff, but what I should do after that is completely unclear. None of the quests in the CS looks like the starting quest and I didn't get a new one for my journal in the game once the whole mumbo-jumbo began either... Simply said - somethig started, but what it was I don't have the feintest.
