How to start overall mayhem

Post » Sun May 23, 2010 1:23 am

I remember one thing from my early gameplay that made me laugh a lot: my character was in a mine where bandits had to be DETONATED. He had 90% Camouflage, high agility > 90, sneak >75 and decent archery 60.

So he spots 2 bandits close to each other, and I thought "shoot an arrow, relocate and prepare for their charge", when I just noticed one started fighting the other, till one died and so I just had to paramatize the other. This happened again in other situations.

That sparked an idea that I found interesting, but maybe u more experienced folks can give opinions and tips on this: how to start a little bit (or massive :) )of chaos in cities. Like, doing the same at some citizen, pirate or guard, going invisible and watch epic battles develop. Stuff like this.

Any input is accepted. :)

Lol thats allways fun, on vanilla and modded games too the best way is a area of effect frenzy spell at level + 1 - 5, with a 5 sec invisibity effect on self added..
So at level 5 make your frenzy spell at up to level 10, sit back and relax.

Against creatures / hostile npc's just change it to a 4 second command spell at the same level, I watched a room of 10 ogres go to town on each other with this spell.

yes, this is cool, i am planning on a character that has a (justifiable) beef against the empire. so her ultimate goal would be to bring all cities to a chaotic state of inside fightings.

i should add to my first example that i actually did fire an arrow at one bandit, and coz he could not spot me, he took it onto the nextest guy.

Sometimes NPCs just start fighting too, without you doing anything to start a ruckus. But as Maydoc says, there are various spells that can get things going. I love finding a lone NPC (bandit, necromancer, wolf, whatever) casting a Command on them, and walking up into a room full of other NPCs with a full Light spell going (to see the action). Then casting an Invisibility and just standing in the corner watching the fun!

If you're in a town, you can also
Spoiler
make some NPCs friendly towards you by raising their disposition via Charm spells or Speechcraft, then when you start the riot, those NPCs will actually fight for you instead of against you.
I don't think it works with Guards, though, just regular town-people.

I don't think I've tried that Renee Gade getting one to follow me into an oblivion gate though yes.

I posted elsewhere but today, my tiefling character while escorting Martin ran into a legonnaire, resulting in everyone attacking her..
Followed by a deer beating off Martin, only for Jauffre to chase after.
