How to stop endless quests for minutemans? 48 lvl

Post » Fri Dec 11, 2015 4:13 pm

1. Then i speak with preston about completing quest, he gives me two new quests.

2. Random citizens gives me quests too.

3. I am general, not private.

4. All settlements have ~50 defence points.

5. One time i run away from preston and he gave not me quests ))) But during i upgrading my weapon he found me and gave me two quests (((

6. Second time i run away from preston and he gave not me quests ))) But later i've got quests by... radio? (((((

7. BoS gives me endless quests ONLY when I ask they.

AT LAST I WORKED FOR PRESTON UP TO 48 LVL, I achieve 48 LVL by completeng endless minuteman quests, CARL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I CANT DO OTHER QUESTS BECAUSE PRESTON"S QUESTS FAILS. THEY ARE LIMITED BY TIME.

PLEASE GIVE ME MOD THAT STOP PRESTONS QUESTS UNTIL I ASK THEY!!!

You can't really say no to him like with the other factions and their radiant quests. So tough luck buddy. You can say no when he asks you to join the Minutemen and that will make him shutup. Hopefully they can implement this in a patch, because it is annoying.

Here is what i did: Got 2 quests from Preston, did them, didn麓t talk to him afterwards. He hasn麓t bothered me again ever since (3 game weeks).

I try this too. Some time later quests will be successfull completed like i speak with preston (experience points added).

And. Yes. He caught me in settlement and gave new quests..........

PS I will not play f4 until patch will be released.

Just ignore the quests. Don't do them. It's pretty simple.

That's what I do, but it seriously svcks.

You should have quest when you ask for it, or it becomes boring.

I just logged on to the forum to ask about this problem myself. I tried that and it seemed to trigger my settlements getting attacked more. In fact, the only time my settlements did come under attack was when I tried what you suggested. But, the attacks were few and far between compared to all the quests Preston and the other Sanctuary settlers keep sending me on.

I haven't really been able to play the game since I met Preston. I've been plagued with Minutemen quests and my settlements coming under attack. I can't scavange enough fast enough to build up the settlesments to keep them safe and happy. And I'm playing on 'Very Easy'. I did set up some recruitment towers in a couple of them just to build up numbers hoping that would help. I think it has, but still, Preston and the other settlers in Sanctuary keep me too occupied.

Another thing that's odd is that I'll get help requests from Sanctuary (Way up North West) for problems that Feral's are causing them from the Southwest corner of the map. I'm at the Nation Guard Training Yard now because someone in Sanctuary sent me there and Country Crossing farm is right there. There are plenty of places in between I would think the Feral's would attack before they got to Sanctuary.

They sent me all the flippin' way to Croup Manor to clear it out and the very last spot I need to get to is behind a locked door that I don't have a high enough perk to pick. Not cool.

I know ... it's just a game. :)

I have to admit I am having a blast building stuff and setting up these settlements. It's something I thought I wouldn't like but I love it. But it would be nice to finish the quest I started with the detective dude in Diamond City. That's as far as I've gotten and I've been playing since two days after the game came out ... Doh! LOL.

Ya they went overboard with the radiant quests. I'm afraid to go to the castle. The guy on the radio always announces someone needing help. My main place is sanctuary and I'm starting to be scared to go there too.

The majority of quests are of the ask and get type, but there were always a few triggered ones. As long as one knows how not to trigger them, they don麓t bother me much.

Maybe the "trigger" is a bit to much?

Giving quest "everytime" I'm near him is a bit too much imho.

Its strange how different experiences can be with the same game. Anyway, i just checked and found out that i still got the "taking point, sunshine tings co-op" quest open. Maybe thats the reason Preston has stopped bothering me, i don麓t know. I do know that if i start a conversation with him, he wants to retake the castle.

Edit:I can stand close to him within punching distance (wouldn麓t you want to? :D ) and nothing happens.

theres no real penalty for failing them. unlike settlements being attacked you dont even get your stuff broken up. I think, could be wrong went to do some settlement management and found some far off places had broken water pumps and windmills. Could have missed an attack too. It is a bother though to hear i failed something especially because if i went and handled them all the time I'd get nothing done. Just have to ignore them or go save the same settlers endlessly. Thats what you get for being the social worker of the wastelands. Yea and settlements being bothered by ghouls on the other side of the map is ridiculous especially for those who try not to fast travel all the time or want to clear a region.

Cait was glad when i fail rescue mission. I think preston and other ones was frustrated.

I sure penalty exists.

I have the opposite problem on my current game, the guy doesn't say anything more than "General" before walking off and taking up my crafting benches.

Wait, you can fail the Minutemen quests?

I routinely have them just chilling in my log for several in-game weeks. No noticeable increase in settlement raids even with several of them reading 0 Defense and nonzero population. So long as they're not, say, kidnapping, it doesn't seem to matter.

It's only once you initiate the quest, for example kidnappings have time limits (assumedly they are murdered when no bail is given or a rescue attempt, but they probably wont admit that)

Huh. I've never had a time limit on, say, "exterminate this mutant-infested craphole for us - whoops, it's on the opposite end of the Commonwealth".

Then again, I play with timescale halved. Might be why.

Rescuing the settlements just irritates me. I dont want to babysit a settlement that has better armor, better guns, walls and machinegun turrets surrounding the fields of crops that has 4 Raidrs wiht pipe guns committing suicide on the doorstep. Yet if you do not show up it seems that the 4 Raiders showed up in a tank, [censored] your women, stole your crops and destroyed water pumps....

The whole settlement thing is poorly thought out IMO. But the game is pretty solid other than that.

He gave me that quest AFTER I turned him down and now when I talk to him all I get is the "will you be our savior" stuff.

Only certain quests are timed... "clear out a location," or generally the "find a new settlement area," quests are not. Kidnappings are.

The defend settlement quests are the worst - if you miss one (and it's so easy to miss them, you don't get any decent notification :brokencomputer: ) then all the crops and turrets get destroyed :brokencomputer: and happiness goes down till you fix it all :brokencomputer:

I would like to have more control over the radiant quests for settlements. Happiness is already bugged enough.
