On my first character I went sword and board, and it was alright as I could get defensive when the masses got onto me, and on my second character I was a healer/sword wielder, which helped when things didnt go the way I expected. However, every time I switched to a 2h weapon and my health would get low, I found I was quite at a standstill/defeat lest I use potions or ran away. How is one suppose to survive as a 2h wielder on the higher difficulties? Is there any trick to it? Blocking with a weapon isnt really that effective and often does more harm than if you just strike back.
And you wont be killing everything with 1 hit either. Any tips on this? Using heavy armor would prove very dangerous as it will slow you down at the early levels, therefore preventing any chance of escaping an unwanted situation, resulting in death
Step 1: Strap on a crap load of heavy armour, boost your defence further with the Lord Stone, grab some amulets/rings/gloves that either increase your HP/Def/2-handed damage.
Step 2: Find an enemy.
Step 3: Bum rush thine enemy with while working yourself into a frenzy with a bellowing warcry.
Step 4: Layest into yon enemy's cranium with great vigour and enthusiasm.
Step 5: Shouldst his Hitpoints run out before thine own, thou wilt have secured'th victory!! (seems to work for me)
Step 6: Having survived the encounter, butcher the english language on an internet forum.
