How is...

I found it on sale on NCIX, for $19.99, $24.xx with shipping, and i'm wondering if it's worth picking up. I see alot of people on my PSN friends list playing it, and i'm wondering what you guys think of it.

It's a really good game, i have no [censored] clue in my mind why i traded it in..
I really want to buy it again because the undead nightmare (or w/e its called) exspansion looks really good, and i would play the main story again after getting 100% :)

After I 100% it, it became rather boring. If you think you can 100% in less than a week, just rent it. The online is rather lackluster.

The story mode was really amazing. Online was alright but got boring.

Easily worth it for $25.

This. Not much replay value (apart from waiting a while and then replaying the main storyline) in my opinion, but still a great game with a long and interesting storyline.

Definitely worth $25.

Assuming I tried to 100% the story one time through. How much gameplay am I looking at, time wise, if im casually enjoying it? Like, total time played. lol

Quite a few. It's been a long time since I've played it, but easily 10-15 hours, if not more. You have to consider travel time from point A to B, because it's a pretty big game world.

And if you include side quests, which you'll want to do, you'd probably be looking at about 20 hours at least.

It's quite an amazing game, I actually just finally completed it the other day. I stupidly decided to trade it in when Black Ops came out, but I got bored of that game real quick and decided to re-buy Red Dead. I believe it took me a little over 30 hours, and I didn't even come close to doing everything.

Best game I played last year. Buy it for that. It's a steal.

Have fun with it. I enjoyed it for the most part. The game is a little slow in the beginning and even the main character's personality doesn't really pick up until you dig further.

I can tell you that if you do beat the game, the ending will most likely leave you in awe and grandly piss you off. It is slightly predictable, though.

Emphasis on pissed off. I disliked playing after the MQ was finished. Still fun but annoying.

Most of the 100% (After the main quest) is made up of dull Bounties, Challenges and finding some of the more elusive wildlife.

Its an okay game. GTA4 but with cowboys and horses.

I grabed it, was playing through the campaign, but can't get back into it and finish it since FNV and BLack Ops came out. For $20 can't go wrong, I dont think

If you can get to 100% in less than a week you really need to get out more.

I only played through it once, but since that one playthrough lasted me somewhere between 30 and 40 hours I say it was well worth the money, and I paid full price for it.

Have just started playing after getting it for Christmas. The only thing I'm finding is (and it's probably just me!), its not always obvious what you're meant to be doing? I'm probably spoiled by games aimed at idiots where you get your hand held the entire time (Thanks Fable...) but I often find myself just randomly wandering around not sure where the main questline is heading...

Also I completed two side quests yesterday for people I found crying outside the Sheriffs office in Armadillo. Went out to the place they complained they last saw the person they'd lost, found nothing........quest ends. It said something like there wasn't enough evidence to go any further. So not sure if I'm meant to be looking around the area more (the purple area is gone....told you I need my hand held!!) or just leave it and it will pick up later?

Sorry to hijack your thread.

Apart from this confusion I really like the game. The animations are great, I love love love the voice acting and from what I've seen the story looks pretty good.

That basically, if I recall correctly. Happens with several sidequests, sometimes you meet those people a few hours further in the game and then their story continues. I found the main questline to be pretty clear though.

That quest has you check several times, it will then stop until further where another person sends you up.
And for the story, follow the map to any letters for quests, jut do the quests and it will progress, order dosent matter.
The game is great, after the MQ its dull and nothing to do, but undead nightmare is out, thats atleast another 7 hours excluding the survival horde MP mode it brings.
Also download "outlaws to the end" free co op dlc. Try to get all the achivements if you havent got much o do, its damn hard (espeialy trying to gold medal "the river" on advanced or "waltons gold").

It was one of the best games I've played all year. Very fun just to fool around, but the gameplay itself is also very fun.
