As a 'viking' woman though, I hit my head on buses if I forget to duck, am an expert on men's male baldness patterns and dandruff (China makes them shortish, although TinyHowie is 7 feet 3inches in his socks) and need to feed their egos now and again to compensate for leading them in the tango.
OK I lie, being tall is awesome but I rarely wear heels, that's just taking the p.

Also, try finding good looking heels at size 44 (European). Shoe sales ladies always staring at you like you are Frankenstein's Creature in drag, or something. That is why I need boots, real boots. Also make Turanga Leela kind of an idol.

5'8" with no shoes or house shoes. Some days I'm 5' 10" with the right shoes... Or combat boots.

I love wearing heels, it makes me feel ladylike and attractive. It's not a height issue with heels, as most people would suspect, me being only 5'2. Rather, it allows me to flaunt my legs.
It would be awesome to be tall, statuesque, reach the top cabinets, the top grocery shelves, see if the fridge top is in need of dusting, and check out people's hair parts. I'd love to have a long torso to match my legs. I'd love to be tall, willowy, and Xenaesque.
But then, I'd have to give up never hitting my head on doorways, being able to rack up deals at the petite rack, finding clothes in the junior section, sitting in the kids swingsets on the playground, and being able to walk upright into the play/climbing/monkeybar set and scare the living crap of out my misbehaving darling students. Which is priceless.

You missed out small people screaming when they walk into you accidentally. I'm not gonna fall on them, for crying out loud...

In all honesty, I prefer the height I am to some freakish 6'+ giant.

1,81m, not female

On a statistical anolysis point of view, it's interesting.
Bimodal curve.
It seems there is a first peak around 1.72 m and a second one above 1.85m,
It suggests 3 hypothesis:
1/ There is 2 physical populations in this forum, the shorty and the tally
2/ There are 2 psychological populations in this forum: the one who tells the real size and the one who tends to exagerate
3/ Maybe a mix of the two ???

That's one of the more fun parts. Especially considering how many people might run into my heavy spots. Opportunities to use the stare en masse.

Hah, I found something that I like about being short! I can wear heels without feeling bad about bruising all those sensitive male egos. :P And I find great heels easily.

But it would be nice to be able to reach shelves and see over people in the movie theater and not be told "aww you're so small it's cute!" - which is the most annoying sentence ever.

I'm 5'10''. Decently sized, although most men I see are still taller than me.

Doesn't matter to me, though, because I've got rather broad shoulders (in fact, broader than most other people. Even broader than my brother, who is taller than me by a few inches).

You can't reach shelves in stores? Aww, you're so small it's cute! You could leap up over the lower shelves and climb onto the higher ones, Assassins Creed style! :P

But seriously, don't worry. We are generally more nimble and agile than our taller brethren. I know I am. In the painfully few sports that I actually play; Im pretty quick and well coordinated if I do say so myself. Im sad that I'll never be able to dunk though. :(

I can jump around and climb and what not, but never dunk. :violin:

What kind of status?

Well, I take pride in the fact that there are many great people my height, and some even shorter.

Robert Downey Jr
Tom Cruise
Mel Gibson
Danny DeVito
Jack Black
Lil Wayne
DMX
Al Pacino

to name a few..
