How Tall Are We?

Post » Sat Jan 22, 2011 5:04 am

It's already a known fact that this forum is a giant sausage fest.

17 chicks, and 154 guys, according to the above poll..

That means there are roughly 9 men for every 1 woman..

I can picture that. Several tall, well built men hanging around, discussing stuff, and one little girl comes along and begins scrambling up onto them and sits on their heads, glances around, then performs a leap of faith into the fruit punch. Troyatz' Creed.

Edit: She edited it, so I did too. :P

Edit 2: I had to. Im just that much of a gentleman.

Edit 3: Better?

I'm 5' 9".
So many guys over 6' 1". Must be a lot of http://www.wisegeek.com/which-country-has-the-tallest-people.htm people posting.

I am American, my mom is of Irish and Italian descent, and my father is of Polish and Lithuanian-Jewish descent (or one of those countries).

Fact: Tall people give off a better impression in interviews, speeches etc.... Think about the height of most presidents.

This is true. From my experiences atleast. Luckily for me, I've proved myself better than most taller guys in my friends circle. :celebration:

5'8, arguably 5'9.

I've said it before and I feel I should bring it up again.
Tall people should be prepared to give shorter people piggy back rides.

Hah, I found something that I like about being short! I can wear heels without feeling bad about bruising all those sensitive male egos. :P And I find great heels easily.

Don't worry, the only men who would be bruised by great height anyway would be tiny men of poor breeding stock.

I dunno, a man harem would be parked on their asses watching football and demanding more sandwiches and snacks while I do piles of laundry. Then wonder why I am too tired for the bow-chicka-wow-wow.
Ahhh, I think I will skip the man harem and go directly to solo vacation.

Also, just because a woman is of dimunitive stature, it does not mean she is a little girl. Or that she is not mature.
Had the unfortunate experience once of dating a man who found me attractive because I reminded him of a child in stature. :( I've been sensitive about my height ever since.

Yeah, I do highly resent the "little girl"-indication... :P But I've never had it as bad as you. I don't think I'm a pedo magnet, so it's all good in that sense.

You need to train the man harem to be useful, see. It's aaaall about the training.

What you want is an army of eunuchs. I think Holy Assassin volunteered.

yeah

I was just going to point out how creepy that sounded.

And not to stir up and bad feelings but of the shorter people I know, and a bit here, the half and 3/4 inches gain importance. If only frivolously.

Maybe if I just threaten them with castration if they don't behave?

Well, if you dislike their work, or disrespect them, you cannot deny their popularity and success. Their height hasn't stopped them from gaining that. I can relate to that. Imagine a world in which you have to be 5 '10 to even be accepted. Bring in a 5 '6 guy like Tom Cruise. Would you expect him to go anywhere? Nope. But did he? Yes. He was the highest paid actor for several years, or atleast one year, IIRC.

Only people in Hollywood that are successful and are above 6'2 or so are ex-athletes, or something.

They do put him on a stool for pretty much all scenes where you can see how short he is, though. :P

I actually thought you were being sarcastic. I would only add that famous people are not necessarily the same as great people.
