Hey guys,

My problem is that I already cleared out and settled The Castle. As I did not know how to get into the room behind the security door down in the tunnels (behind the sentry bot) I searched in a few forums and found out that you are supposed to clear The Castle during the Taking Independence mission. Is it still possible for me to trigger this mission as I'd like to get into the armory, set up the radio station and continue the minutemen questline?

you get the quest after doing the settlement stuff for prestin garvey in sanctuary.. do the tutorial settlement stuff.. learning how to set up beds water/food ect after that hell ask you to talk to prestin and then youll get the quest to take back the fort.

but the quest your looking for comes after that.. after the taking independence mission if you wait awhile youll recieve a message to head back to the castle a second time.. then youll get a mission to break into the armory and get the artillery blueprints.. that is when you break into that room.

Well I did have Sanctuary set up perfectly but it was glitched. Every time I was there everything was perfect but as soon as I left the city and checked it in my pipboy it said that there would be no food, no water, no beds and no protection. So I just took everything and moved it into The Castle.

I would send a screenshot of my pipboy saying that I completed Sanctuary but this forum won't let me.

Edit: Thx mate, following your comment I just sent Preston back to Sanctuary. He instantly told me he wants to retake the castle!
