How to turn off item respawn : Fallout 4

Seriously?

I pick up the junk at Red Rocket cave, walk to Abernathy to trade, when I come back the junk at the cave entrance has respawned.

Please tell me how to turn this off!

You cannot as this is part of the game's cleanup routine to save memory.

It might be possible to decrease the frequency through mods, but memory management mods are highly unstable especially without an official editor or complete understanding of the game code.

You can disable or permanently delete an item with those commands:

click on that item, and then either disable or markfordelete.

But there are items you can't do that.

If using "markfordelete" you have to save your game, leave and get back in for it to take effect.

However more proper would be:

Save your game, go through and click thinks and mark them for deletion, do a quicksave and the load your quicksave.

That way, if you accidentally deleted something important, you can go back your previous save before you started deleting objects.

So keep in mind: markfordelete is irreversible, if you save after. !!!
