How do I uninstall Hearthfire?

Post » Tue May 07, 2013 11:08 am

Hey guys,
I did a pretty bad job customizing my first house (lake view manor) and I want to restart my hearthfire experience. Which files on my ps3 do I have to delete to uninstall hearthfire (and other skyrim dlc)?

I've heard that I need to delete the skyrim game data utility and update data. I assume deleting these wont affect my save data?

Thanks

Your saves should be safe by doing this. If you want to make sure, use a USB drive to back them up.

I believe you are correct in what you have to delete, as you have to get rid of all the DLCs, then put back what you want. But, I have not done this, so let someone else confirm exactly how to do this.

What you need to do is go to the Game Data folder in the XMB (playstation menu) and find a file named "Skyrim - Update" and delete that. Once done, start Skyrim with internet connection enabled, download the latest patch, and other DLC's you have that you want back.

Although a little precautionary warning: do NOT load any save files you created while you had the DLC enabled once you disable it. Load a save you had before activating HF DLC!
