On the skyrim wiki, there is a page of console item commands, it said, I quote:

"In order to open up the console, press the ` button on your keyboard. It's above the "Tab" key. The console is for the PC version only. PS3 and XboX users can use the console, by changing the controls layout."

Does this mean that I can use the commands on my ps3? If so, please describe how!

you should really try to invest in a gaming PC so you won't be so limited as of what you can and cannot do in skyrim. I even told a bro of mine not to get skyrim for his Xbox. Skyrim is to damn boring without mods.

The closest PS3 users get to accessing the console is similar to what 360 players can do, which is transferring the save to their PC and temporarily making it a Skyrim PC save, opening the console on PC Skyrim and doing whatever they want, then transferring the save back to a 360 one and throwing it back onto their console. Unfortunately it's infinitely times more complicated for PS3 users since they'd first have to jailbreak their system and do some other stuff to it, and frankly it seems like a lot of trouble for one game.
