How do I use the reload bench to make bullets?

Post » Wed Feb 10, 2010 3:47 am

Say I want a 10mm round. can I breakdown a 9mm round or other for the ingredients to make one. I see I need a high repair skill. (55 repair currently)

Is there a list of ingredients used to make bullets posted here?

If I have all the ingredients to make a 10mm round then what do I do?

I desperately need bullets because I waste them on fast moving, hard to target varmit. I hate using v.a.t.s. for bats. This game is very lifelike and realistic but how realistic is it to pause a [censored]in bloatfly so I can figure out if I want to hit the left or right wing. Enemies seem to rush at you so fast that you are forced to use v.a.t.s.

Hey this is dlc discussion you should have put this in nv general or nv hints cheats and spoilers. People r going to flip....

Any way look at what u want to make while at the loading bench. It will tell you what is needed. You use components from some ammo to make other ammo, but you can t make a 9 into a 10. Vendors sell components. Your spent shells in you misc section r components. Scrap metel can be melted down to make more lead at the loading bench. Its all about having the right components for what you want to make.

believe me i had trouble at first too but you'll get it. I remeber my first time...(flashbackmusic) *leeet me tell you about my best friend* oh uh any ways yeah it's just about having the casings and lead there is also small pistol and large rifle powder that you must obtain from other bullets you can do it all in reloading bench or buy some at vendors but to make bullets you gotta waste bullets so you know caveat emptor or whatever. :deal:

You need....

1: A quantity of empty cases/hulls for the particular bullet you want to make. You can break down existing ammunition of that caliber, buy case boxes from vendors (Vendortron, a few others) or the game will automatically just generate some when you fire your gun (a percentage will be recovered)

2: Lead. This is acquired by breaking Scrap Metal (200 per scrap) or by breaking down other munitions.

3: Powder of the pertinent type. Dilineated by "pistol" or "rifle" powder.

4: A primer of the correct type. Six types: Small/Large pistol, Small/large rifle, shotshell, .50 MG. Acquired by breaking down existing ammunition that uses that type, or by buying in bulk from a vendor.

Each crafting option on the Bench will specify how much is needed.
