How to be a Vampire?

Post » Mon Jun 14, 2010 4:17 pm

As all of you know, it can be quite difficult and frustrating to be a Vampire.

I was just curious of other peoples experiences and strategies to successfully being a Vampire.

I play as a vampire on my 360, to some people it can be frustrating.. but if you feed once a day u can walk in the day light, but be careful not to wait/sleep during the day or u wont be able to go out in the light. I usually dont feed cuz I like the powers that come with the dark gift, but when I need to do something that only requires day light gaming then i'll feed. hope that helps.

It's easiest to be a full fledged vampire if your restoration is maxed, so you can heal yourself from sun damage. Although I highly WARN against saving the game while you are healing yourself and taking sun damage at the same time (will corrupt your save).
If there are bodies of water along the path to your destination during the day time, go swimming underwater. You take less sun damage that way.
If merchants don't want to do business with you cast several different charm spells on them.
If you gotta do some dungeon diving anyway, might as well do it during the day time.
If you need to get to a destination within town during the day time, enter a house to give yourself time to heal from sun damage. Go from house to house doing that until you reach your destination. Or even dungeons if you have to go from city to city during the day.

I haven't played as a vampire for some time, so those are the only things I can think of for now.

Can it be difficult and frustrating yes, if you just go about with a lazze fair attitude and roleplay, then no it tends to be very fun imo.
If gaining it just for the perks and expecting no draw backs then don't get it, as you'll most likely find it tedious to work around the penalties.

If you're in a guild, you can feed off the other members. Just make sure no one else sees you. :ninja:

I never rest vampire characters unless a quest forces me to.
