How do i voice chat in game? its not working

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 4:22 am

i have the turtle beach earforce x11

my audio drivers are up to date and the headset is plugged in correctly. I used voice recorder to see if the headset picks up my voice loudly enough and it does.

in the sound optiions of crysis 2 VOIP is enabled and push to talk is disabled. but for some reason when i talk no one hears me. i ask wether they heard what i said and no one does.

when i talk the speaker sign in the scoreboard does not go off.

push to talk doesn't work either but the speaker sign does illuminate.

any ideas as to what is wrong?

i also can't hear other players

I am pretty sure it is not a volume issue

I have a similar problem. I also have voice chat enabled the menu, but the speaker icon on my screen name no. My impression is that the icon disappeared after patch 1.2 but I could be wrong. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
p.s.
I have a SB X-fi Gamer + AKG GHS1, and TP Link WR543G

i see that often, peoples little voice icon is flashing but you can't hear anything they say -- then once in awhile someone is talking pretty loud ?? Pretty sure it's just the buggy programming, just like medals, unlocks and things dissappearing previously

Try lowering the sensitivity thing in options, mine is at 5. ;)
