Pretty good. Some annoying bugs and an annoying attitude towards their PC fanbase, but its a good game. People who claim otherwise should stop listening to their own hype before the game is released and take a look at what Crytek made instead of being whiny about what dreams they had in their own minds that wasnt realised. None of the poll answers fit me. Great game, incredible use of DX9 and a visual design department that should pat their own shoulder untill they are skinless. But I am still offended as a PC gamer.

Initial impression from the first 3 levels of singleplayer was fine until I got hit with the nanocatalyst bug and them not saving. So I figured let me try the multiplayer... HACKER HACKER HACKER HACKER HACKER HACKER x1000000000000000000000000000000000000000 and then my upgrades not saving. Hundreds of kills lost.

So I voted Not Interested, because I'm just not interested anymore until these things get fixed.

I can't vote yet as I'm only a couple of hours into it, but I can say that it is growing on me. I played through Crysis 1, and Warhead in the past week then started up Crysis 2 yesterday, and it honestly felt like a spinoff side game like:

"Crysis Urgency!" - THE ARCADE GAME

lol

This was mainly due to the constant "forced" tutorials in the beginning, and the very limited static 3D geometry around you.

Now that I'm getting further in, I just changed my perspective of the game and said it has nothing to do with Crysis 1 or Warhead, and am enjoying it for what it is. A cool fps, that is fun. The action is picking up, and I'm starting to like it more.

Whats hardest dealing with are the terribly low-res textures. Can't wait til they realease some sort of update that lets us tweak the graphics.

I totally disagree with the result. No way is it a 'Maximum Fail', not by a long chalk. Sure there are a few issues and Yerli perhaps stretched the truth a little concerning the DX11 debacle but is it a bad game?

In my opinion, no. (remember that's 'my' opinion)

Now in the next few weeks the game will get patched and the modding community will eventually get their hands on the sdk. It can only get better...

Maximum Game means people are enjoying the game without too much headache regardless if they're in MP or SP.

Maximum Fail Most of us can live with bugs. But bugs that ruined the game play experience isn't fun at all.

Not interested Either you don't care or just not that interested.

I'm really into the Single Player game, I haven't enjoyed a sci fi campaign like that since the days of Unreal and Half Life. I love the MP game too but am frustrated by the problems that need addressing, especially as a paying server admin.

But once these problems are fixed over time, it's going to be my favourite online game for a while.

Agree. Like Quake and Doom so yeah I haven't enjoyed a sci-fi campaign like that.

Single Player: Overall I enjoyed it. The most annoying thing is when you hit one of those cinema sequences that show the green 3D map and usually someone talking at the top left. It is extremely laggy to the point where the audio is stuttering. I have a BEAST of a computer (Core i7, 2 x GTX 580, 24 GB DDR3 RAM) so there should be no lagging whatsoever. Crysis auto detected my setup and set the graphics spec to the highest possible and everything in the game is very fluid and zippy except for those sequences.

I did get hit with the annoying nanocatalyst bug, but with all of the aliens running around, it was easy enough to build it up again and get all of the unlocks I wanted. Graphics were still good even though its not DX11, though I would prefer DX11.

Multiplayer: Overall, I also enjoy multiplayer. There is definitely a hacker problem though. I was playing capture the relay on lighthouse and saw this one dude who could run from one base to the other in under 5 seconds. He could stay in cloak mode forever AND shoot while cloaked. I set a trap and kicked his ass once though, much to my satisfaction. There is a lot of aim hacking going on as well. Aside from those cowards, it is an enjoyable experience. The lighthouse map is noticeably laggy when turning but it is only that map. All of the others are very smooth.

Perhaps? How can Crytek have not failed when they themselves set the standard for C2, and missed it by a mile? Your boy, Yerli, lied to get PC folks to buy the game knowing that it was a sack of dung. The fact that you're trying hard to gloss these things over is troubling.

In my opinion, no. (remember that's 'my' opinion)

Yeah, I get that. However, before you offered this lame truism you had the balls to "disagree" with most of us. The opinions of those who feel they got screwed are just as valid as yours. Perhaps more so when you stare reality squarely in the face, yes?

Now in the next few weeks the game will get patched and the modding community will eventually get their hands on the sdk. It can only get better...

More happy-talk to make yourself feel better. Revolting. You have no idea what the future of this game is. Bleary-eyed hope is a poor substitute for getting your moneys worth out of the box.

I agree that they missed their standards. However, as a software developer myself, I know that the game WILL get better with patches. I won't appologize for them or defend them though. They promised it would be a PC game first. It was obviously designed with more emphasis on consoles than on the PC. That is not enough to completely ruin my experience though. I still enjoy multiplayer.

I think it's CoD 2142. I guess it would be alright if I knew what I was paying for. Since it isn't, the experience is quite negative.

SP was great for the first few levels till I lost my points, so I quit and haven't played it since. I will wait for a major update to fix many of the bugs and possibly update the dx version before I play it again. I know it will be stellar after updates.

MP is very fun when not in a room with hacks. It's also very aggrevating when the gun you unlocked and added to your profile now isn't unlocked and hasn't been tracking any kills for the past few hours you have used it. I haven't played it as much because of stuff like this. Luckily the DLC for black ops PC was released the other day so I have been playing it instead. I may wait for a major update before devoting too much more time to crysis 2. I haven't tried it with the recent patch yet.

Overall crysis 2 is an awesome game. The few major issues make it seem horrible, but in actuality it isn't bad at all.

the singleplayer is good, but everything just shouts "CONSOLES"... and that's really disappointing. another issue: when you finish the game and try a different difficulty, you KEEP your Nano-catalyst points AND the upgrades, lol. that is a fail in my opinion, lol. i've played 2 matches of MP, then i hung up on it. it's just CoD with suit modes.

Excellent. Disregarding the bugs (in which some idiots on these forums overrexaggerhate....i mean come on the nano catalyst bug isn't THAT bad, just use your points up before you exit the game -_-), the single player is far superior to Crysis 1's. I seriously just love it so much. The story is much more improved with a mix of the symbiote story from Spiderman and War of the Worlds. This is NOTHING like CoD as several people say >_<" CoD is a linear piece of crap where the games now have random explosions and a wierd story (black ops was decent tho). Crysis 2's nanosuit "coreographed sandbox" the whole play how you want, on-the-fly customization and etc. completely shows the uniqueness.
Moving on....
---SPOILERS---
There's actually no plot holes in the story except for like one with Hargreave (i'm puzzled as if he wanted to help the aliens or kill them. He seemed to support and oppose him when he started his crazy laugh)
---END SPOILERS---

The story had a great connection to the first game (although we already know what happened on the island after the first game. It's just nomad and Physco we didn't get to SEE, but essentially, well.....i'm not spoiling this lol, it's explained what happened to them).

All in all great game. Once the patches fix up every bug, it'll be sweet. Multiplayer is great too! You can clearly see this game was made to work on consoles as well, but why are people **** pissed about that? Are you guys stupid or something? NO DUH it was made to work on consoles and clearly that can be seen >_> ****, you should've seen the "consolization" in the trailers WHICH i know you people watched before buying the game.

I think this coyld be a 10/10 game for me if it wasn't for 2 things:

AI - It's so dumb and glitchy it totally ruins your immersion most of the time.

Multiplayer - The first 2 days I thought this was going to be a game that I would play for months, but right now everytime I play instead of having fun I get angry and frustrated, all because of cheaters.

Poll is a bit too black and white, needs some options between Maximum Game and Maximum fail.

I have encountered the odd hacker here and there, and had the odd disconnect, but my multiplayer experience has been generally a positive one. Maybe it's a regional thing, but I think there is a lot of exaggeration and hyperbole in these forums.

Obviously there are different levels of hacks/cheats, some very obvious and some more subtle, but I get the feeling that some people have the tendency of accusing anyone who seems very good of being a cheater.

- game crashes for many gamers, me included
- stats sometimes resets it self
- limited edition code wount work or
- will work but no item ingame
- many EA server don't start, as a resoult
- u have to play on private servers
- there are more things but i can't remember them
