How is Weapon bash damage calculated?

Post » Mon Nov 30, 2015 2:04 am

I'm very interested in weapon bashing. Can anyone tell me more technical details about it, and what affects it?

Does strength increase it, or any other SPECIAL stats?

Is it amplified by perks that boost melee weapon/fist damage?

How much does a bayonet actually increase it?

Any details would be appreciated

I'm noticing that a bayonet seems pretty worthless on my shotgun. anyone else getting some good use out of them?

It does considerably more damage (the bayonet) than a traditional bash. There is a strength perk with several tiers which improves weapon bash damage.

Nope. Tried with 10 strength, shredder modded minigun and all 4 ranks of the bash damage perk, in power armor. Still svcked ass. Bashing for damage is fruitless endeavor. No need to waste perks or a muzzle slot on it.

I am! I have a heavy bayonet on the end of my heavy sniper rifle. I do my usual sneak snipe and if that doesn't finish them off, and they run towards me, I keep shooting until they are close then - stab, stab. Also been using it indoors with pretty good results.
