So we're suggesting things for ES VI now? Cool. I want hang gliding. :teehee:

Honestly I'd say with 11 months to ship they 'have' to be on the tail end of level design and QA/bug hunt. That includes going to press on the DVDs, packaging, and stuff. I wouldn't imagine them adding features even if someone came up with the most astounding suggestion possible.

So right now this Skyrim General forum has 1500 threads that are either speculation or suggestion topics. Amazing. :turned:

Actually, I don't think it's to late to take feed back, it's never to late to look at an idea and decided weather it can be implemented later down the line either in a patch or DLC. I know that a lot of them brows the forums and look at a lot of what we post because it gives them motivation. If you've ever run into a road block on anything a little bit goes a long way. They make the games they like to play, for them and for us fans. It's us fans that really help keep them going. Just imagine making a game that takes 5 years to plan. The reason it keeps coming back is because we love Bethesda Studios and the style of games they make.

They're each made into wonderful DLC and will be offered alongside Reinforced Horse Armor.

Haha, touche. Though I think Bethesda will do it more like Fall Out 3 which was done very well, I just hope I won't be buying two versions of the game for it :brokencomputer:

Wasn't the Mehrune's Razor quest in Oblivion originally a mod? I could be mistaken.

They won't. I'm sorry, there's too much of the 'brown bomb' in these forums, many of which are yelled by angry dissatisfied kid-dreamers. Beth did not build their reputation by losing focus on development and production to shrink us, even if some requests and ideas seem promissing. Just won't happen.

But... Maybe, occasionally... like when every month a few guys there at the dev team have a couple of hours to check these forums, after checking their families, their hobbies, their sports, the news of interest rates in China, the current state of Israel's break-thru exo-skeleton for paraqelgics.... Then - NO, not even then they'll do it.

i do too agree that our suggestions are nothing more than vain comments.

investors and publishers will be the ones making the decisions, this isnt a indie game.

the only thing we can do it not buy the game if it doenst meet our standards

but since most people preorder the game ( whithout even any pic or video about it ).....

if i ever bought a game was after carefully meassuring its worth even months after it was out.

but thats just me in my [censored] country

with games at 50 who cares if it wasnt that good, it was just 50 usd

Actually most ideas are so terrible that I hope they don't read these forums at all.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts

They are the professional game designers, and we are just fans. If an idea sounds good in our heads then it probably isnt.

I would hope they dont come on these forums for more than something to spark their creativity or maybe just to see what the fans are up to.

But who are they making the games for?

US!

Meaning that they should listen to us or noone will buy the game, and they get no money. Therefore it is goodmove for all if they listen.

For those above, I shall be waiting for the GOTY.

I guess they use the suggestions for when they are not sure how they want to do something and they go for general consensus this way they have better chances of making something people will like. but i realy think they dont care about all those morrowind [censored] going anti-oblivion all the time. they probably dispise them since most of them did oblivion and morrowind [censored] are dispising their work.

I am thinking that more of our opinions are taken into consideration then most of the the people here are making it out to be. Lets see... Bethesda has to do voice acting, coding, art, marketing, advertising, implementing, converting for each console, ect... But they wouldn't have told us about it without thinking that there would be feedback from us so they put up this forum for the very reason of finding outwhat we think. We put up our suggestions and they probably have the moderators and others report what they find on here. One thing I've noticed is a repition of the threads that I think would be handy to have in-game. The Werewolves and Werebears, Vampires, Modding capabilities, Implementing things of intrest, Radiant AI, Politics, War, Sub-quests and the Main quest, ect... These are the ones that are most likely going to be looked at because they recure over and over. Heck, thats the judgement behinde advertising. Look at it over and over and you start ot notice them more and more. So these people will take it to the designers and they will consider its possibilities for the game. What I think they should do is put the names (or usernames) Of the people that influced parts into a little support section in the credits personnally. :)

Since we are suggestion on a game we don't know nothing about, I'm sure they have answered and fix a lot of the things discusses and also took suggestions of the past as well. Hell a lot of the suggestions are possibly already implemented and we don't know yet. We just don't know nothing. We will find out in late Janurary.

I didn't read the thread as it's 10 pages long. Most fans have terrible ideas for the game. Others have amazing thought. I would imagine feedback has been gathered not only from TES forums but other RPG forums.
No matter what you do you can't be everything to everyone. It's impossible. I just hope after all of the comparison and "this should be that way" talk we come away with a great game.

In a way I envy the PC players because of mods. It's a great system for fixing the "wrongdoings" with the game. I play on the 360 and bought a 360 to play Oblivion. I pray the stand alone game is beyond any hype machine or forum really devoted fan. I think Behtesda does pay attention to our threads, even if they don't always respond I bet they have someone taking notes. TESV will be the RPG yet and I can say that with the knowledge gained from the teaser (which is nothing lol).

"Do they really care, or they'll only use 1 or 2 things from here?"

If our suggestions that are actually worthwhile interferes with engine restrictions or stability, I'd be happy if they didn't listen to us at all!

They won't - because a lot of these suggestions are things which are thought of before designing the game, and implemented at the start/middle of development. With less than one year to go most of these things are already full implemented.

Suggestions made in the past years would hopefully have an effect on the game - not all the suggestions obviously, most are whack anyway.

Oh, nice to know that from a moderator. Thank you :goodjob:

Lol, not to belittle what he said, but most moderators are just fans who moderate on the forum.

If a Dev/official Beth member said that, then I'd be cheering ;)

Although I'm sure he's right.

With regards to what they listen to. I'm sure they as all of us would read the forum, see something they like. Think 'hey i'll raise that at the next dev meeting and see what the other guys think'. Any major overhauls are out the question. Tweaks such as level scaling, whilst quite a big job, probably could be influenced even at this stage.

I think the suggestions would have been more from how to improve on Oblivion rather than out suggestions now. Too far into development for major changes to be made. That said Elemental had a major re haul or 2 with more coming up post delivery

Well, they do seem to keep up on what mods are out; http://bethblog.com/index.php/category/modding/ down at the bottom of the page is a "Older entries" link. You could always ask in one of the "Meet the devs" threads to see what mods they use, or even if they incorporate ideas from mods into the games.
