How will Daedra be introduced?

Post » Fri Nov 13, 2009 10:26 am

The Daedra are Immortal. Ergo, you will not be killing any of them, because you cannot kill them. You may break their bodies for a time and banish them to the Waters of Oblivion. . . but they will return.. . and they shall mark your name and face! :obliviongate:

There are things worse than death. Such as having your life force be put into a crystal and svcked dry slowly for some haughty spellcaster's enchantments.

To the above poster, I agree, that is some awful, messed up shiz. As to The Daedra. . . we know now at least some of the Princes will be in. Hopefully, as with the Morrowind and Oblivion, sorcerours in their dens will have Nirn bound Daedra stalking about. . . and I absolutely hope to have an extensive amount of conjouration magic available to the player that is specifically allocated to the summoning and communing with Daedra of various races.

LOL you made me think about putting someone's soul in a ring pop. I want more interaction with the daedric princes if I do quests for them. I did love doing quests for them to get some nice items, like Azura's Star.. that one was sixy. Now that we're talking about it, what sort of daedric items/rewards would you guys want to see? Might as well start talking about it here instead of spamming more topics.

We need more Deadra that want to [censored] our corpses. That SO caught me off guard when I first seen that in Morrowind.

WHAT? OK, now I have to really up my search for Morrowind.

Agreed. One of the more dissapointing aspects of Oblivion was that, in a game essentially focused on The Daedra, they were not more interactive. . . at least, until the Shivering Isles expansion, which did allow a good deal of interaction with the Aureal the Mazkan and Sheogorath/Jyggalag. I hope that in Skyrim, Speaking Daedra have more dialogue options, especially if they are your summons. Also, any realm gates opened by Daedric Princes for the player to enter, though accessing only small regions of the realm perhaps, should be lasting and re-enterable, like the Door in The Niben to The Shivering Isles.

The Morrowind way would be fine with me. Just let us find them on our own. Let it be a surprise!

Now that lanterns are back I want a daedric lantern reward that darkens the room rather than lights it up for stealth characters :)

weve seen four different daedric realms in oblivion, hopefully we will see at least one daedric realm in skyrim that we havent seen yet, with new daedra. at least one of these daedric princes, malacath, molag bal, hircine, hermaes mora, azura, namira, sanguine, vaermina, nocturnal, or mephala will open an oblivion gate to their realm during a daedric shrine quest, i highly doubt there wont be any daedric shrines. anyways i think daedra will be introduced, the morrowind way

I think daedra's appearance in this game will be much more subtle than in morrowind or in oblivion, we've got dragons to worry about now.

Daedra weren't that big a deal in Morrowind. The only one that took any interest in you without having to activate a shrine was Azura, and her role was fairly small.

*little prayer* Sanguine's realm, Sanguine's lesser Daedra allies, let all the glories of Prince Sanguine be shown! lol

I think the Morrowind way, for the most part, will be just fine. The Daedra, Princes and Daedric Races alike, really are one of the better and more defining aspects of The Elder Scrolls.

Really hoping to see Winged Twilights! With the new tech, I can only imagine how scary and beautiful they can make them!

Probably mentioned, but I think it is possible for mages to permanently(until their body is destroyed) bind daedra to Nirn, so I would guess the conjurers will be our link to the daedra. Maybe even a group of daedra that have survived the aftermath of the Oblivion Crisis. Just speculation, but I think they will be included some way, or another.

By me going back to Oblivion and kill all of them........ so they will not be introduced because they will all die before I see them will an arrow to the face to each of them. All of them will just say "I think I heard Something".

you do know you can't actually kill daedra right... u banish them from this realm pretty much and they go back into oblivion for a certain amount of time than they come back again. they dont truly die and thats why they are not afraid to die in combat.
