The beautiful thing is I haven't really a clue what my first play through will be like. I'm hoping lots of surprises and new features will leave me baffled, amazed to the point that any plan I originally had will get sidetracked.

My first Oblivion character (Lady Anne) was like this. She only lasted a few hours of gameplay because I mostly experimented with early game possibilities.

I probably wont do anything special. Just talk to the few people I see first until I get a quest. Also check out the UI and AI.

Only the Nine Divine would know the answer to that. What is great about TES is even I don't know what is going to happen. With every choice made, there will be a subsequent consequence that will lead to a new, interesting, and undetermined path.

If the Imperial Legion is a join-able faction in Skyrim though, I will likely almost immediately join that. :D

Pure mage. Frost && shield spell. Frost && summon spell.
Most of the early game will be spent trying to acquire gold and train myself to be a better mage.
Apart from a basic pure mage with a specialization in frost, I plan on being a competent enchanter.
I will then enchant items, and sell them (hopefully for a profit this time), and eventually make as many unique and weird enchantments as possible, War hammers that shoot fireballs (on target), Maces that heal, Swords that absorb health but constantly damage oneself. And if I can't do them in the game, I might mod them. (If enchanting is a skill, it better be expansive)

I plan on ignoring the main quest until I'm a decent level, then my character will branch off onto a line that does the main quest, and one that role plays as a necromancer.

Normally I would do a Battle Mage type character but after hearing about the changes to the archery and finishing moves I'm gonna go stealth and be more of an assassin using bows.

There was another thread like this a few weeks ago.... But seeing as my thoughts have changed a bit...

The first thing i plan to do is install the game. Load it up. Max the graphics cuz Im on PC. Raise the difficulty slider as high as it goes.. Then begin. Like I said before, I plan to do as much in the game as I can before doing the MQ, which does include going to those predefined "difficult areas" at a low level just to see how hard they are.... Then pillage all of the dungeons i can, make myself filthy rich and then gracefully walk through the MQ like a BAMF. I already have release weekend planned, taking off work Monday and Tuesday so I can complete the game in a mere weekend.
