How will YOU earn money?

Post » Fri Oct 14, 2011 9:04 pm

Since we already got a topic regarding what you'll spend cash on, a complementary one regarding earning it would be useful too.

Really simple: How do YOU plan on earning CASH in Skyrim?

I'd personally go with #5.

Aaaaaaaaaaand if you're not satisfied by my poll questions then ask and I'll add new ones ;)

I'd suggest maybe making this a multi-choice poll...

Personally, I'll be all about 1, 5, 6 and 7.

I have a better suggestion. Add all professions + add an option that says "Quests" + another that says "Dungeon Looting" + Professions that require no skills such as cooking/woodcutting/mining.

I guess harvesting, turning into potions/poisons, and then selling.

Hopefully that works.

If not, then smithing.

I'll probably do everything: steal gold, sell stolen stuff, loot bodies of victims, search dungeons, etc.

Voted Thievery. In Oblivion I found it far to easy to steal. You went from having no money to being the richest person in Cyrodill in a couple hours. I hope it's harder this time around but then money has never been a issue in Bethesda games.

Alchemy FTW

This
Dungeon plunder is a good way to make money, but sometimes one needs not to sell some items too soon, as many can be quest related.

I won't have a hard, fast single occupation. I plan on looting everything, making as many potions as I can, and basically robbing everyone blind. :D

I'm going to kill bandits wearing glass armor and using ebony weapons.

What? Wrong game?

I hope there is a viable non-violent way to make money. Not that I mind fighting, but it would get old after a while.

I'll go with making items and selling them, looting dungeons (hopefully now when we get overencumbered we'll be able to walk, like in Fallout), alchemy, and thievery!

I'm going to be a worshiper of Sithis so I'll probably get money from my Dark Brotherhood family. Most likely, I'll take part in alchemical recipes and be a herb maker while being a member of the Dark Brotherhood.

depends on my character

1: Orc - will get his money from dungeon raids and selling the items he finds + quests + crafting
2: High Elf - will get her money from playing the trading game (if it is good in this TES)
3: Nord - will get his money through quests and dungeon raids + the main quest (this is my ONLY dragonborn character)
4: Dark Elf - will get her money through thievery, skullduggery and murder ;)
