How will you make dual wielding work for you?

Post » Fri Oct 07, 2011 3:47 pm

We know that dual wielding blades has less defense and requires more strategy.

So i ask specifically about the strategy (i think we've got enough out there on the lack of blocking).

How will you engage enemies?

Quick swapping rune magic? Shout defense (Force push/slow down time and eradicate)? Illusion and ambush? Outflanking berserker? Poisons? Complimentary enchantments (paralyze and sap health, etc.)?

Really my mindcycle is poping wheeling just thinking of the possiblities.

For when it just comes down to me fighting, I'll just jump out of the way of attacks, and peck at my enemies while their recovering from their momentum.

I may eventually make a character who uses conjuration to summon distractions for my enemies while I go all -Stabbyripstabstab- on their eyeballs.

Destruction Magic in one hand, Alteration Magic in the other. I may switch out Alteration for Conjuration after I find out what creatures are summonable. I will switch one to Restoration if I'm taking a lot of damage.

I will play a light armor-wearing warrior type so i will rely on speed and dragon shouts to take on my foes, i will most likely charge in and do some damage and then jump out of the way of attacks while using FUS-RO-DAH if they get too close

I will wait until my enemy is about to attack at which point I will do a power attack to stop his blow and stagger him. Then I'll finish him off.

depends on whatim fighting

mges: damge magika enchantments
warrior: i will use some boots that increase my movment speed and go in for hit-and-run attacks (possibly with paralyze potion)
rogue: if s/he dual wields too i will just go for a straight up fight

thats just an outline of the general plan, my stratagy will change depending on location/number of enemys/position of enemys/ect.
