How will you play fallout 4

Post » Tue Dec 01, 2015 10:39 am

fallout 4 looks great and i was wondering how you are ogng to play it? i will probley use the First person view as that feels more engaging to me. In first person I relly feel lke part of the world and we know that Bethesda make amazig game worlds for us. So how will you play first person third person or over the shoulder?

I almost always play in third person unless I have to look at things up close (puzzles, looking for loot etc.). I spend a lot of time customizing my character and having them look like a badass so I like to see the result of that.

That being said I hope they make the third person aiming and shooting good. They didn't do a great job with that in FO3... then again first person shooting mechanics were pretty damn bad too. Hopefully id and Arkane helped them out with that.

First, if Bethesda didn't enhance the third.

Third Person ~where ever possible; sometime next year perhaps.

*Aside from being considered a distant Fallout sequel, the third person conversations and PC voice only serve to make TPP gampeplay seem more the intended and appropriate mode to play in.

Need a poll.

1st person for shooting, searching, etc. If I'm playing a female and my ass is really sixy I might switch to 3rd person while running around.

If you'll play on consoles, you'll miss out on all the sixy mods~ loverslab.com

First person 99% of the time. The 1% is to see what a new outfit looks like on my character, which - since I play in first person 99% of the time - could not possibly matter less.

First person, its the reason I fel in love with beth games to begin with and a great immersive feeling, Ill shift to 3rd from time to time to gaze at my characters looks, and maybe to take a screenshot or two, curtasy of PS 4 share button.

Depends upon the character. In Skyrim, first person for archers and magi and third person for melee. I expect much of the same for Fallout 4. Run 'n' Gunners will be first person while my Super Sledge wielding wasteland barbarian will get third person.

At my computer, with a gamepad, with the chair angled slightly to my left so I can prop my feet up on the arm of the adjacent couch.

...Oh and, first person. Because, I guess this is a very important thing to compare.

Seriously though, women usually ran kinda stupid when you weren't holding any guns. It looked like they had a hard time moving with their giant butt or something.

As a gamer, I hope they fixed that. As a man, not really...

I think they tried to combine sixy walk and running at the same time. Failed.

Wonder if that 1st POV includes the ability to look down at your PC's feet? They can see their hands reloading the weapons, so maybe this will be possible. Insignificant but great immersion feature.

Anyways, it's 1st POV most of the way. With the occasional switch to admire the vistas and immediate threat environment.

I'd really like that. It's a nice touch. I've started using the immersive camera mods for Skyrim and New Vegas and I have to say they improve the FP gameplay, you have a torso and legs now, you're not a floating pair of arms anymore.

Anyone else set the camera up, just perfectly, and walk slowly with a nice scenic backround?

I prefer 3rd person for most everything but must switch on the fly to 1st person for certain things like looting a small room full of boxes or shooting multiple enemies.

Third person. If I spend a long time customizing my character you better believe I'm going to want to see them.

Absolutely third. But see, let's face it, Bethesda turned this franchise into a first-person game. That is, they really focus their resources on FPS and FP aspect with lack of attention to third like in Skyrim, ESO, previous Fallouts, ect. So my main worry for 4 is that they didn't put enough care and development into third-person because we are the vast minority when it comes to playing the whole game in third-person (at least it feels like that to me when seeing all the FO4 gameplay videos almost entirely in first, devs demonstrating in first, and so on). I get that FP is the biggest genre in the world and people love their precious FPS, but I can only imagine how insane FO could be if it was a fully third-person game like Witcher, Dragon Age, you know games where they're built from the ground up that way. I'll just have to wait for more third-person gameplay before November. Tentatively optimistic though.

...what an odd collection of things to say. All of Bethesda's games (well, Morrowind and up) have been first-person primary. Third person has always blown in these games, so to say that they've suddenly abandoned 3rd to jump on some FPS bandwagon sounds totally nuts to me.

(Also ESO has nothing to do with them. 1. it's an MMO, 2. it's by a different dev team, Zenimax Online.)

edit: seriously, the thought of playing Oblivion, Skyrim, or Fallout 3/NV in third person just makes me go :yuck:

The decision is purely based on what works best for me at the time. I never sneak in first person. If I lose track of the enemy and I'm worried they might sneak up behind me I switch to third person also. Most shooting will be done in first person, though.
