How will YOU play Skyrim?

Post » Tue Aug 02, 2011 10:55 pm

In Oblivion i always played with stealth. It was fun. I did it for the simple enjoyment of seeing them fall to the ground with an arrow through their head and 3 guards running at me screaming "HELP! MURDER!"

But I've also tried combat and magic and it is fun.

How will you play when Skyrim comes out?

I will play an Argonian Warrior. I plan to use heavy armor and a 2H sword. Just like Oblivion =)

Warrior, who like in all previous ES games will pick a direction and set off on a 20+ level journey of adventure and fortune, before deciding to settle into the main quest.

Honestly, I'll probably get around to playing everything at least once eventually. With that said, I usually gravitate around combat characters with Marksman for support/initiating attacks. Melee/marks characters have always symbolized the self-reliant adventurer type to me, and that's usually what I like to play.

Probably going to start as a combat specialist just to get my feet wet and become acclimated to the game. After that, magic all the way!

I'm liking the prospect that bows can do more damage. Sure they draw slower, but hopefully wee will be able to one shot kill foes by nailing them in the head. So I plan on playing primarily stealth aided with a few magics.

I'll start off with a basic sword & shield warrior type. Eventually I'll try out everything that the new combat, stealth and magic systems have to offer. I may settle in to one play style over the others, but it's too early too say.

On my first playthrough, I try to be a jack of all trades. Warrior skills dominate, with magic as support, and a strong archery background.

In my first play through I'm going to be a warrior, rush em' and crush em'. After that I'll play different character types like a stealth archer, pure mage, etc.

For me the title should read "stealth, magic AND combat" :)

Assassin always an assassin. Whenever I tried creating a mage or warrior I always reverted back to stealth after a few hours. Although if the spells look as good as they have appeared in the demo, maybe I will give magic another chance.

Oh and I will play Skrim with an xbox 360 controller plugged into my PC

I will play suspended from the ceiling with my hands tied behind my back, working the controls with my toes...

...oh...

...as for my characters I'll be playing as a stealthy mage/thief, a warrior mage, a priest, a sorceror and likely a khajiit skooma dealer.

I don't want to be shoved into any pre-set pattern.

I like blade, alchemy, destruction and security. They tend to be my most used skills.

An Imperial Ranger will be my first character. Which means I plan to use primary a blade (probably a longsword), might dual them, I'll be exceptional at alchemy, decent at marksmen, dabble in restoration, probably good at sneaking and lockpicking. :foodndrink:
