How will you play the game at first?

The second option except I want to use dual-wield weapons or maybe even invest into magic for my other hand.

Stealth, but none of the aforementioned. I will use a single dagger (for speed and weight reasons) and maybe a short sword for head-on combat , light or no armor (for the same reasons), and some utility magic. Of course, I will hopefully play many different combinations. And I will use much alchemy, for potions and poison mostly (in case I have to fight head on, some potions to increase my strength and endurance and poisons for my weapon would be invaluable).

No Ninja or Robin Hood on my first playthrough. Will save that until there are some neat mods that enhance my roleplay experience.

I'll go with either that hulk-smasher or a mage of some sort.

As usual I will play a jack of all trades and dabble in everything while depending on wits and strategy to utilize it all effectively. Sure I won't be the best at anything but I will have many skills to support each other and create the most options in playing. I am sure that eventually certain skills will begin to pull ahead as they prove themselves most needed, but my ultimate goal as always is to eventually max out everything.

I just like to wing so starting out as a jack of all trades works for me, and that is a reason I enjoy that they aren't making starting classes in this game since I will truly start out fairly equal in all skills.

I think I'll make a nightblade character first. Mainly using stealth skills and non-damage magic, armed with a short sword.

If you get many dialog options and can use dialog as a way to solve quest/as an alternative to combat I'll make a rogue character, dual wielding a long sword and a dagger/knife, though mainly using lies and deception to solve his problems (so no magic and almost no sneaking, just dialog as a way to solve things, using a sword only if things go wrong or if you have a clear advantage in the fight.)
The problem is, it's likely that you won't be truly able to use this playstyle and if it is possible, you probably don't know that when TES 5 comes out, So it's unlikely it will be my first character (though it would be awesome.)

I might also just play the mainquest once with a Nord barbarian or an Imperial warrior/knight kind of guy, though the first playthrough will probably the best one since you see many of the cool places in game for the first time and it's not my favorite kind of character to play. At the moment I'm not really exited about the main quest so I think I'll wait with this character until after I have explored most of Skyrim with other characters first.

Ninja + Robin Hood

I like to play sneaky bosmer who has good security skill as my first character so I will know my way around after that.

A Robin Hood/Ranger character. I rarely used magic in Oblivion but if they have revamped it in Skyrim I might give it a try.

Being a ranger.

I am an extremely sneaky person wearing only light armor. I go everywhere with my giant pet wolf. I do not enter straight into battle. My wolf and I scout the area first, and I pick off as many as I can from afar. When noticed, my wolf would proceed to tear the throats out of any enemies that got near me. If this was not enough, I would then summon more nature creatures to fight for me. Still not enough? I put away my bow for two dual longswords. An army? I hop on the wolves back, riding it, casting protective spells on myself and my minions, mainly using my minions to fight, but once everything is buffed, I switch back to dual wielding and proceed to decimate my enemies. (This is assuming that there are giant wolves, and that there will be combat while mounted)

When walking through long walkways, or lurking through small rooms, I switch to my trusty longsword/spell combination. If combat gets heavy, I use similar techniques to when in open areas.

Probably max attack (dual wield swords, or sword-dagger), while not having to worry about defending myself (heavy armor). That's my favourite way :)

I quote myself, and I add the use of some magicka, mainly Restoration/Destruction. So it'd make him sort of a Paladin/Battlemage.

I still haven't made up my mind, I either want to be a thief/assassin or a Nord warrior. I will end up making both, but I'm not sure which one to start with yet.

Pure mage, but more of a mystic (alas, poor mysticism!). "Mystic" is what I define as a mage that focuses more on magic and meta magic than on pure offense like a battlemage might do. Essentially, a mystic will use more utilitarian spells than normal. I will probably focus on enchantment, conjuration, and alteration, although that really depends on where most of the mysticism effects got moved to (gotta have my meta magic dispels).

When in a fight, thanks to the new dual wielding mechanics, I can finally wield a protective spell such as shield or dispel on self, and an aggressive spell like absorb or lightning. This allows me to simultaneously defend and fight. With proper uses of my utility type spells, I could avoid taking damage (or allowing my opponent to deal damage) for a very long time.

What's the point in getting in a fair, fireball slinging fight when you can get in an fight where you never get hit? Control is key.

Just came up to my mind...

"....you should have seen him, sister!. By the time he got there I panicked, and hid myself in a hole while that brave Nord began fighting those hordes of horrible undead. He kept slaying them with his dual swords until no one stand stood. Then, as soon as he saw more coming, he shealted his weapons, and began firing fireballs at them with both his hands, destroying the new horde that was coming. Although I was really scared, it was truly something worth seeing!"

ooooh, I SERIOUSLY CAN'T WAIT!

Hmm, if spear and crossbow's are in, I will be playing as a powerful hunter, wandering the wilderness, adventuring into caves from time to time. I am going to hunt down everything that moves, and loot the caves where evil is lurking! Only Hircine will be a better hunter than me in the end
