How will you play your 1st NV playthrough?

Post » Thu Sep 16, 2010 12:50 pm

Good, Normal, Normal.

Never played FO3 on anything other than Normal, actually. Now on my..... seventh? playthrough, to get back in the mood.

Good, normal, hardcoe.
Tagged: Medicine, repair, survival.

Medicine because I want the most bang for buck from my Mercenary Pack Doctors Bags.
Repair because it's no good being able to shoot a next to worthless gun.
Survival because that's what it's all about baby :D

I'll also most definitely be taking the Wild Wasteland trait :woot:

Evil - because although i might do the good deed where possible i will be killing for plunder at some point which will make me evil overall.
Easy - because i play for the story and exploration, tactics isn't my thing on singleplayer.
Casual - because i don't know what realism mode is (die = start again?)

I will be Good Karma, Play on Normal Difficulty, Also play Harcore for sure.

Will side with the NCR and do everything good, no matter the consequences.

Probably Snipe every1 out so my tags will be 'Guns' for the obvious reason, 'Survival' for hardcoe, and for my third im not sure but probably repair.

Can't wait :fallout:

Good/Neutral (I'll be out for myself, but I'll generally try to resolve things in a pleasant manner), Very Hard, hardcoe
Tags: Survival, Small Guns, Repair or Lockpicking I'll also try and pick up Science and Speech on the side.

Neutral - having no specific enemy, and remaining anonymous for as long as possible raises survivability.

Normal - i will be playing on hardcoe, which is challenging enough for the first playthrough.

hardcoe - watching my fluid and food intake adds a whole new dimension to the game experience. (and i like that)

Small Guns - are commonly found throughout the Wasteland, having a high skill in this will make it easier for me to find and use weapons with great effect.
Survival - having this skill tagged in hardcoe mode is essential, as it raises the amount of healing done by crafted consumables.
Sneak - remaining unseen and taking the initiative in a firefight (or avoiding them) significantly raises my survival rate.

Obviously, Melee weapons are an even better choice, as i dont need ammunition, and it will not slow me down due to added ammo weight.
But i just love Guns.

Have fun guys :tops:

Casual - because i don't know what realism mode is (die = start again?)

"hardcoe mode is an optional setting which makes the game more realistic, with gameplay elements such as dehydration and healing over time."

"Normal(casual) -> hardcoe(realism)
Stimpaks heal instantly. -> Stimpaks heal over time.
Ammo is weightless. -> Ammo has weight.
No dehydration. No starvation. No sleep deprivation. -> The PC must drink, eat, and have proper sleep cycles to stay alive.
Crippled limbs can be healed with stimpaks. -> Only a doctor or a doctor's bag can heal a crippled limb."

I'll be doing

Good

Normal - maybe back down to easy if it's too crazy because I want to have fun after all. Did you all see that Game Informer article about playing on Easy Mode? It was good.

Casual but trying to not kill if I don't have to and I think that's harder than hardcoe.

Neutral (since no one in the game will be the "good" or the "bad guys"...it will be about our point of view on various things), normal (since I want to see how balaned the game is, normal should play as...normal...if it does, then I will know higher difficulities are more challanging), hardcoe (since it's awesome to look after our needs and having to balance equipement selection due to ammo weight ect.)

Good, hard, hardcoe.

Fast metabolism with kamikazee like qualities, little regard for personal injury, ultimately good but live and let die mentality
will try to snipe, so high perception. Joins NCR (probably) my first playthrough will not likely finish before my second playthrough, as I want to get as much game completion as possible out of it

I'll probably pick Small Guns, Repair, and Lockpick as my tag skills. I've picked those for every Fallout game. They just seem to be the most sensible to me (Small guns: Variety and decent power, Repair: Fix said guns, Lockpick: Get into places to get guns to repair :P )

Ditto.

Neutral
Normal
Harcore

Going with my usual hard-drinking, gamblin' coin loving gunslinger. Figured' Normal would be hard enough with the new hardcoe mode. I tend to play a neutral char based around whomever pays most. If the NCR doesn't have the coin to back my services, then off to join the legion! Although, I intend to work alone and explore for a good portion of my early start. (Never choose a side too soon!) I think Harcore will be a fun experience, I LOVED Oblivion immersion mods. Makes it feel like actually surviving in the wastelands.

I plan to choose Survival, Guns, and Barter as my mains. Saluaging and the like until I can afford them fancy lazer spittin' doo-dads.

Oh, and Repair will come in a close 4th, as armor and guns won't repair themselves! (Well... Raul's ability will help.)

Good
Very Hard
hardcoe

I've loved going sniper ever since the first game. I'll probably play a high per/high char/high luck character with decent agility. Might have to pack light, but thats just part of the challenge :D

Probably will try for a 'Gunslinger' type character, fast talking and very skilled at certain things but not very 'jack of all trades' due to low int.

I don't expect to ever play without HC mode. As for alignments... Fallout never really had alignments, and no requirement to always play good, neutral, or evil. I don't know what kind of PC I'll play. Maybe I'll flip a coin.

If you don't like it you can turn hardcoe off but i think once you turn it off you can't turn it back on.
