How will you play your 1st NV playthrough?

Post » Wed Sep 15, 2010 6:05 pm

Gosh aren't we all so nice?

Good, normal, casual. I like to get a feel first off, get the story, get a little involved etc.

Skills will be lockpick/science/speech or similar, gonna have a char who scours everywhere...

+1. That's how I rolled in FO3.

OH and we got someone picked EVIL! QUICK, LOOSE THE HOUNDS

Martha! Grab my shotgun! :D

I got a feeling that hardcoe mode will bring me to evil just for that extra vial of water.

Evil, Very Hard, hardcoe.

Tags: Big Guns, Repair, Speech. I get the feeling Speech is gonna be a big skill in New Vegas. And I like wearing Power Armor and using Big Guns.

Why do you have an arrow pointing toward your avatar for that answer?

Although not actually a picture of me-
the geographics are correct,
the job discription fits almost to a tee, and
the guy looks more like me, than me (aside from some grey hairs that I have, and I shave these days.)

At the time, I was not a nice person.

now-a-days I'm a barrel of laughs :D

Good, Very Easy, Casual. I just want to be told the story without interruption the first time. After that, I'll try Evil, Normal, and maybe hardcoe. I like realism mods like NOM for Morrowind - where you need to find water - but I'll try it without first.

This except I will probably be evil.

Same as first playthrough on FO3 for me.

  • Good
  • Normal
  • Casual

For character build would probably be simmilar to my second character

Tag
  • Small Guns
  • Science
  • Energy Weapons

Then I would focus on the following skills

  • Energy Weapons
  • Medical
  • Science
  • Lockpick
  • Small Guns
  • Speech

I might focus on more skills but those would be the ones I would start off with, then again it would also depend on how the game is setup. Might have different skills to pick from and tag, so this is just based off NV being simmilar to FO3.

First run:

Good
Hard
hardcoe

If it is balanced like Fallout 3, that should be fine - but if it turns out that to be too much pain, I may have to lower the difficulty to normal.

Same here... 'Cept for the fact that in my case "selfish behavior" involves running around with explosives proclaiming "I'm Grenademan!" and that everyone shall "Say hello to my cute bombs"

Aside from that, though, I'll try to maintain neutral karma

Grenademan has nothing on Tire Iron Man.

I'm going to try to stick with neutral (in Fo3 it was really hard to stay neutral, so i might lean towards good if its like that), normal difficulty, and hardcoe.

For tag i'm definitely going to pick sneak and small guns, but then i can't decide between lockpick/repair for my other one.

I'll plan to go good, normal difficulty. Depending on the environment, i might stop and start over in a different way.

I'll probably be neutral. I prefer to be good, but being bad some times just gives such better rewards.

Neutral, Normal, Casual

Tags: Small Guns, Sneak, Repair

My character will be a small-time con-man who's ex-Enclave, since he joined them at age 14. He's now 29 and works in New Vegas doing whatever it takes to get by. After that, sticking with FNV's main story.

My first run will be:

Good
Normal
Casual

with likely Tags of Small Guns, Lockpick, and Speech.

This will be an experimental character run through the early part of the game to test for weapon availability, if non-Small Guns weapons can be obtained early then my first "real" character will tag one of those instead. I will probably have a couple of such characters in order to learn where things are, after that I will probably do a Hard/hardcoe character just to try that out.

I won't be using a bunch of mods, just some tweaks according to my preferences.
