How will you play your 1st NV playthrough?

Post » Thu Sep 16, 2010 12:34 pm

Good, Very Hard, hardcoe mode.

I only wish there were more difficulty, similar to what FWE provides, out the gate.

Either way, I'm going to savor it. :icecream:

I will play Good, Normal and Casual first. I never really roleplay or do anything too difficult or hardcoe on a first playthrough of any game. First I need to get to know the game and how it all works. From there I decide how I want my other playthroughs to be.

Good, Normal and I have to ask, what's the diff between hardcoe and casual? Other than that I like to play kind of a drifter character, in FO3 I was basically a Regulator with Lincoln's Repeater and Ol' Painless as my primaries.

i don't try to set out to be good or bad. i usually just play and take every decision choice as they come using my own conscience. in the past, that style of playing usually puts me bordering good and neutral. sometimes i feel inclined to help out for good (like defusing the bomb in megaton) and other times i do things that i feel needs to be done (like killing vance and all the "vampire gang" in FO3). i also like to play for the story as many of you have stated.

so to answer the question: good (most likely) / normal / causal

as for type of character, i would like to think of my guy being very similar to eastwood's character (blondie) in the "man with no name" trilogy (fistful of dollars, for a few dollars more, the good bad & ugly). so in other words: smart, cunning, silent and the best/fastest hand with a gun.

tag skills: small guns, sneak, speech

I'll likely end up 'good' as I usually do that on my first play-through in a new RPG. I always start a game in normal mode and since hardcoe is one of the things I'm most looking forward to, I'll start with that first.

And I'll take my usual three tag skills: Sm. Guns, Speech and Steal/Sneak.

Although, I though hardcoe was a difficulty?
Hopefully it's a separate option, as the level of realism doesn't always exactly translate to easier or more difficult gameplay.

and I hope that unlike the Difficulty setting, you won't be able to change the Realism mode once you've begun the game - cause that'd kind of defeat the point of starting "hardcoe" IMO.

OXM states that it is separate from difficulty and can be activated at any point (though I'm not sure if they mean the disabling it too).

First time through I will play as a Good character at Normal and Caual. Once I understand the game, then I can go all Mid-Evil on the game.

Good, Very Hard, hardcoe

I'm going to be a diplomat first, and when words fail, my sidearm won't.

I'm going to tag, Small guns, Repair, and speech, and carry one sniper, one shotgun, one pistol, and one knife. If there's a trench coat, (like the one the guy was wearing in the trailer) I'll wear it.

Probably evil, easy, casual.

My character will most likely be up on Sneak, Lockpick, Small Guns, and Medicine

Good, normal, hardcoe mode.

I'm the closest thing the Wasteland has to law and order. I don't care who you are, you will act civil and courteous at all time. Yes that means you Mr Caesar.

Kind-of like that Sgt from Monty Python... "right, stop that, it's silly..." :stare:

Evil, Normal, Casual. I'm gonna take my 1st character easy to get a feel of the game and have a good MQ experience. After that i'll start my fun.

1st- Good, Hard and Casual Want to experience the game and not worry about sleeping etc
2nd- Evil, Hard Casual
3rd Good, Normal and hardcoe

Then ill do challenges like:
4th Neutral, Very hard, hardcoe with added restrictions to make it extremely difficult.

That'd be my favorite FO3 build:

Small Guns, Repair, Speech. As always I would try to play neutral, and come out Very Good at the end, simply because you gotta shoot all those Raiders and Mutants, right? Beef it up with Sneak, Lockpick, Science, Explosives, and throw the occasional point into Barter and Big Guns. And of course praying for FWE, and pucemoose-mods for NV...

Karma: Good
Reputation: Try to keep good reputations with people who arent [censored]s.
Faction: Mr. House
Difficulty: Very Easy

I'm not gonna lie, I'm VERY lazy about going into long long combat fights, I try and get them over and done with so I can go about and explore.
