How will you see Skyrim?

Post » Thu Sep 15, 2011 2:40 am

So Skyrim is almost here and I was wondering how you will be experiencing this game. Console, pc, tv or monitor. Did you buy anything new just so the game will look or run better?

I have a 55 inch samsung with a ps3. I thought I liked the calibration settings on my TV but in the last few days I changed it alot. Originally I had it sharp and crisp, after a long Internet search and messing around I've decided I like the smooth and crisp look. I had things like edge enhancement on, bad idea. Now I have it looking like the developers intended. It took a while to get used to because for so long I had sharp and jagged edges that popped out. The smoother look makes games look a ton more real. Also I am buying a new wall mount for a clean look so I am not distracted by clutter when playing this game. Ooh almost forgot sound. I have a nice pair of headphones for night and when playing in the daytime I am looking for a new sourround sound. The sound is vert important to me. It pulls me deeper into the game and really gives me a sense of character.

So what is yours?

Edit: I am also setting all this up for the reason that there are soooo many great games coming out.

Simultaniously on my PC monitor and my TV as I will be playing both PC and 360 versions. Although my monitor is being really [censored] recently so I might need to get a new one. 20" monitor and 47" TV.

Playing on my frankenstein gaming rig I recently upgraded a bit. I always play PC games on my 42" TV. Depending on how I want to play, I could use my keyboard/mouse or my controller.

Looking forward to seeing Skyrim on my GTX 580 :).

Xbox 360 goes to my 1080p, Gateway flatscreen monitor. 1920x1200. It's a great display.

I will HEAR Skyrim through my Turtle Beaches (Ear Force X11's).

360, 17 inch flatscreen, full surround-sound setup.

Pretty much, not the best setup, but one that serves my purposes (and budget).

Playing on the PC.

I've purchased a new monitor, and I hope to upgrade my graphics card in time as well. I'd really like some nice surround speakers as well, but that's too expensive. My current speakers aren't [censored] though, so I guess I'll survive.

I'm thinking about buying that card too. Is it any good? Or haven't you gotten it in the mail yet?

I have an HD proector that is awesome. I bought it a couple years ago and because it was way cheapest then an LCD. I use it from time to time for video games. Mainly used for movies though. It's a 1080 (I or P not sure.)
I lose a little but of resolution but you cannot best the 350 inch screen. It is really fun to play on but usually for a game a game I like my deep and crisp colors on my LCD. It'll still be fun to see Skyrim in a movie theatre type setting. Honestly it would not matter how I played this game It'll still be incredible. Can't wait.

It depends. If it runs on the computer in my room it will be on a 19" CRT monitor. If it doesn't, it will be on a 24" widescreen LCD.

As for what hardware it will run on I'm not sure yet, and I won't for some time. At the worst, a dual core 3GHz Athlon 64 with an nVidia GTS 450.

truescale 1920x1080p @ 23" ASUS monitor
5.1 surround sound optical headset
AMD Bulldozer "Zambezi" 8 core processor
ATI Radeon 6950 video card

Das Keyboard - Mechanical Keyboard
Razer NagaINEEDTHISFORMMOS - 5000+ dpi gaming mouse.

Can't wait to just get lost

??? Why do you have a $320 video card paired with a $90 monitor? That thing would easily project a 1080p resolution.
