What will your first character be? Warrior? Mage? Theif?
What race will you choose?
Will you be good or evil?

I... Will become a mage with a shortsword in one hand and spells in the other. I will either be a Nord, Khajiit or an Imperial.
I don't know weither i'll be good or evil at first but in the end i reckon i'll have a couple saves, half good and the others evil.

Just wondering what everyone else was going to do

What race will you choose? i'm going to go with nord, but i'll try to make my nord look half nord and half dunmer

I'll start with an Imperial, though I'll role-play him as a Nede. (Imperial because of they will likey have a speech buff)
Find a bound dagger spell, illusion spell, summon spell, and alteration spell and start my journey.

Won't fight with a sword unless it's a Katana, other skills are: enchanting, smithing, speechcraft, alchemy, and sneak(more of a by-product of the stealth spells)

So illusion, alteration, and conjuration will be my life for a while.

Will help when people need it, but not looking to be a hero.

What will your first character be? Sword and sheild with illusion, restoration and archery/marksman.
What race will you choose? Dunmer, usually suits my skill requirements for sword and magic.
Will you be good or evil? Good, even in games I have troubles being evil. I end up caring to much for characters. Trivial or not.

Assassin/Mage

ill start my game with a bit of dark elf followed by a sprinkle of leather armour garnished with a steel shortsword and topped with a dab of rusty iron bow.

Only thing I can guarantee is that I'll be "good". I've never played an evil character in a TES game (heck, in most every RPG that's allowed the option). Don't see the attraction.
(A couple of my Fallout 3 characters have been a bit grey in their dealings with some people, like the Family or Roy Phillips. Of course, the Fallout world is quite grey to start with. )

In a dozen or more OB characters, I've only seen Lucien Lachance show up twice... and both times, I instantly killed him. He's a badguy!

Most likely Dunmer.

Mischievous good.

Huntress (so a mix of warrior and stealth skills)

Pragmatic. She'll be self-interested but would rather help people than harm them

I always play the same character: A elf or imperial ranger. I haven't decided if I'm going to RP him as being the same character in Morrowind and Oblivion. He does get around, bah.

I tend to play single loooooooooong Elder Scrolls games, rather than multiple play throughs. I played 2 Morrowind characters to get used to it, and then played my 3rd for like 5 years. In Oblivion I played one character until I got sick of the game (a couple weeks).

Assuming I get Skyrim, I'll be following the same trend, which means I'll need a good RP reason to "be everything". My usual excuses are...
- an athletic Breton "mage hunter". He's part of a secret order that hunts down mages that have become too much of a threat.
- a tribal Nord hailing from some remote settlement. He'll have the strength and dexterity natural to those at the bleeding edge of the wild, but also have some rudimentary tribal magics (alchemy and restoration specifically)

Male Nord Ranger type character. Bows primary, dagger/shortsword secondary. Some skill in two hand sword. Light animal skins and furs for armor with chain underneath (if armor layering is in).

Good character. Feel bad playing an evil character. Will have blonde hair at about shoulder length and very pale skin.

I will carefully and reverently open the jewel-case so that I may enjoy the rapturous joy of the angels in heaven singing in heavenly chorus...Where I will then place the disc into my cd/dvd drive with the careful precision that is paid to those who handle nuclear weaponry...

Usual Altmer mage with a sword, so good she is practically an angel, unless there is drinking to be done, when good deeds would just get in the way.
She starts in jail because the border guard asked what was her business entering Skyrim, she replied, totally honestly, to drink the best mead in all Tamriel, cue unamused official and accusations of spying.

Shaking. Trembling. A nervous wreck.

Just found out that the opening sequence has you in prison awaiting execution. So I'll start my game by gathering enough coins to buy a stiff drink or five. Assuming such things are available (here's hoping!).

First - as a note - I don't intend by this to imply a criticism of anyone else's approach to the game. I just think about this every time I see one of these topics come up.

Here's what I'm going to do:

Install the game
Start the game
Then..... whatever. Something, obviously, but I honestly have no idea at all what.

I dont think I could decide beyond that even if I was inclined to. All I can visualize doing is turning the game on and playing it and just seeing how it works out.

I'm boring. I'm going to go with a Nord warrior. :thumbsup:

Either sword and board or 2H weapon, which ever feels better.

After that a sneaky battlemage. Little bit of magic, little bit of stealth, little bit weapons training.

Good Breton Sorcerer, khajit if they look really good

my first character will probably be a female bosmer (wood elf) Sybil weilding a bow and dual daggers. her dispostion will be bipolar (with a possibility of multiple personalities), the main cause of her being in jail awaiting execution. upon escape the first thing for her to do will be to seek the safety of the shadows.
