How do yall think it can be done? Is it possible to role play someone who had already lived in the wasteland and never experienced pre war America?
Have you play as the child, not the Sole Survivor.
Once the tutorial is over, you stop playing as the parent and start playing as Shaun (or whatever female version you make). The "alternate start" would take away the voice acting, add fully listed dialogue options, allow you to fill in the history of your character after he was taken away from the vault, and letting the player take things from there.
Obviously this is nearly impossible. You'd have to switch things up to replace the role Shaun plays in the game with one of the parents, you'd have drastically alter quests to reflect the fact that you're NOT the sole survivor and don't share his history which is constantly being referenced by the player and npcs (which is almost impossible to do since Bethesda quests notoriously break if you try to mod them in the slightest, even simply dialogue changes can break the whole quest in Skyrim), so I don't know if we'll ever see an alternate start mod for Fallout 4.
I can dream though.
Why do you have to mod everything? What's wrong with the beginning? Why not just let it stay the way it is? Jeez, the game is out for less than two days now
Every Bethesda game has an alternate start mod for when you eventually get tired of being the same person in every playthrough. It's just a modding tradition.
