Guilty as charged. Thats the only thing I can think of. This was always my most epic fight in Oblivion. I always made a separate save for it.

It was a very interesting concept. Gives me an idea for a mod for Skyrim... I thought about making myself summonable with the Greybeard's http://uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Phantom_Form I just need to decide on apparel and equipment depending on the character I play.

Okay now that I'm done playing my game, no where in my post did I bring up destroying Mundus. Just that they taught that they were gods. And they did. I showed that. So why the strawman?

They never thought themselves Gods. They believe to be direct descendant's of the Aedra. Men are also direct descendants of the Aedra.

Perhaps you should quote the full context instead of trying to distort information to your own needs?

As their hierarchical society developed, the lower classes stopped worshipping their own "lesser" Aedra in favor of those claimed by their social "betters".[3] Thus the Altmer pantheon slowly formed around the most popular and well-known of the Aedra, which included Auriel, Trinimac, Syrabane, Phynaster, Magnus, and Y'ffre, many of whom would later be incorporated into the Nine Divines.[3][19][22] The transition and choices have not gone without detractors.[3]

Aldmeri belief holds that all mortal life is descended of the Ehlnofey. This does not equate to them thinking themselves gods.

It's actually very simple.

Find a level 50 Redguard woman

Teach her necromancy

Indirectly nudge her towards a bunch of Nordic tombs filled with Draugr Death Overlords

Tell her a bunch of Thalmor agents killed her husband and burned his body, recognizable only from his wedding ring

Sit back and watch as an enraged widow send an entire army of Draugrs capable of launching people and stripping weapons off of 'em

Console her and get a Redguard prince to marry her

I have an even simpler more effective idea.

1.) Kill Valdar

2.) Let Hevnoraak return

3.) ????

4.) Profit.

Leave the Imperials home.Free Morrowind and gain a peace treaty with Hammerfell.Free Valenwood and Elsweyr.Open up a portal in Alinor(with a magical Imperial Altmer spy)go in the portal, kill every soldier, every slaver, every Thalmor member.Keep a presence there so that the Isles can rebuild under Imperial watch.

I was thinking of suggesting using the Penitus Oculatus to sneak into Alinor and orchestrate as many jailbreaks as possible, in hopes that one prisoner will turn out to be a chosen hero, but the Blades already learned the hard way that you can't get a hero to save the day just by freeing prisoners.

There is a thread to discuss that idea:

In reply to OP, just make peace, man.

And probably throw the Dragonborn on a treadmill. :P

But I would just try to do what Tiber Septim did and negotiate peace with all Tamriel, and if tgat doesn't work, I'll probably invade High Rock, Morrowind, Hammerfell, Black Marsh, Elsweyr, Valenwood and THAN Summerset Isle, using various tactics of espionage, diversions, strength, and anything else that insures that Tamriel is united once again.

I would start by dumping a huge crate of a thousand Thalmor heads in front of the ruler of Alinor.

Then capture Elewyn and do to her what she did to Ulfric and make her think her information is what helped us to invade and take over a settlement.

Basically that. Then take over and force all of them to kiss the statues of Talos we will bring in.

Technically the info Ulfric gave her was basically useless since the dominion already capture white-gold.

I know, but that's what I'm saying. Take over a settlement, THEN tell Elewyn that she helped us take over a settlement.

It's more difficult now that Ulfric and his minions have hurt everyone, but Tullus and Rikke didn't seem to think that would stop the legions attack on the Dominion. Once Valenwood is liberated and Elsweyr, or rather Anequina and Pelletine, are conquered, it would be a prolonged affair of building up strength. The Summerset isles are not nearly as strong now as they had been in the 2nd age, and with sufficient naval and mage buildup the result should be inevitable. During the Great War the Aldmeri fleet couldn't push past the Imperial fleet at the Imperial City which implies it is certainly not all powerful. Once their naval defenses are worn down via attrition it's only an issue of landing forces on the isles and pushing the Thalmor out.
