How would you go about invading Alinor?

Post » Sun May 05, 2013 1:35 pm

Hammerfell didn't begin to fight for themselves in earnest until several years into the war, as the Forbares and Crowns had been too busy attacking eachother and holding back out of fear the other would gain the advantage. It was really just the A'lkir warriors and the Legion, and since the Imperial Legion discharges formed the backbone of their armies during the 5 year extension it was hardly alone. The battle of the Red Ring and the preceding 4 years also crippled the Dominions strength, and logical military precautions would have the Dominion deploying a force South of Cyrodil to counter any invasion during their assault on Hammerfell.

The Empire isn't weak, it's one of the two big powers on Nirn, and there are a lot more than just High Elves in the Dominion.

Orbital bombardment of Alinor with pieces of Masser and Secunda, Sheogorath would be proud.

You raise a good point here. Could it be people just blew their naval power way out of proportion?

Could be but than again you have that the Altmeri naval force is better in open water than the rivers and lakes of Nibenay.

Maybe they want us to speculate everything and then the best idea will become TES VI.

I rarely ever see them on here, but I guess they could be guests. I'm tired of speculating though. Ugh.

Dragon army which renders who you side with in the CW moot. Bend Will is too much of giveaway that a dragon army will be raised by the DB. Heck, it took Tiber Septim using the Numidium to invade Summerset Isles. I highly doubt even a united Empire made of three provinces could do much to invade Summerset Isles.

The two factions quickly consolidated for fear that there would be no Hammerfell to bicker over. The imperial discharges were quickly pulled out after the WGC was signed, literally leaving Hammerfell Empire-less.

Our Emperor who art in Cyrodiil,

Craven be thy name,

Thy Empire come,

Thy will be done,

In our homelands as it is in Cyrodiil.

Give us this day our daily propaganda,

and remove us our freedoms,

as we are tortured and killed by Thalmor.

Lead us not into victory,

but deliver us to Thalmor.

For thine is the empire,
and the power, and the vainglory,
forever and ever.
Amen.

Why do you constantly try and start a civil arguement?

I've read the thread and it still seems to be on topic.

But even if other people are trying to argue the Civil war nonsense, why do you just aggrevate the situation with a pointless, off-topic comment?

You're no better then them.

Well, let's not start an argument about arguing, guys. The thread is starting to get a bit respectful again, let's not ruin it. :)

Rebuild the Akulakhan and attack Alinor. Just need to see if any of the pieces are still around...

Well... They did confirm the fall of the Thalmor in a sneaky casual post: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1448656-really-bethesda-you-just-hate-the-thalmor-dont-you/page-6

I can not believe I'm the only one in the thread to catch the post of a Beth developer...

I hope that was irony, I really do. If even the devs are developing the Thalmor with that attitude, they will never become a smart villain.

Well, at least it explains why they were portraied as cartoonish villains in Skyrim.

I guess the Thalmor's fate is sealed.

I don't even like them, but I like the Dominion and the Altmer. Just get them off their Uncreation Plans and make them built a strong, prosperous, independent nation. That's their right and that should be it.

Vsions is a big fat troll. He's the one who got us thinking there might be an Atmora DLC because of something he dropped in a thread. Hrmph.

It's not about what race rules, its the government that rules. The Septim Empire has been ruled by elves, and the Reman Empire has been ruled by Tsaeci. The Alessian Empire may have been ruled by some sort of higher-subgradient minotaur early on.
