How would YOU Lead the Minutemen?

Post » Sun Feb 14, 2016 10:04 am

This is a spinoff to my other thread: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1590258-how-would-you-direct-the-institute/ Only this time with the Minutemen General. Don't worry BOS lovers, your "How would you lead the Brotherhood if you were Elder" thread is coming soon if someone else doesn't make it (hint, hint.)

So, you are the General of the Minutemen. What do/would you do? Continue expansion, or keep it as a small tight force? What other factions (Railroad, Institute, BOS) do you make alliances with, if any? Who do you destroy, how, and why? And further more, do you attempt to officialize some sort of CPG MKII, or do you keep things the way they are? How do you deal with (non feral) ghouls, synths, etc?

Only real assumption this time is Take The Castle and Old Guns.

Note: In-game restrictions are no object here, so assume that you can in fact send minutemen to do things for you rather than having to do everything yourself.

lol The general title is merely a figurehead title. You only have any power if the MM actually want to follow your orders.

I wouldn't blow up institute for no reason. Also I would try to make a permanent group of Minutemen.

- donate all artillery cannons to peasants

- donate all rations to settlements

- make The Castle a home for squatters and homeless people

- sell Muskets for food to donate to little children

I would make my title mean something. If you don't want to help a settlement because it has ghoul settlers, then get out of here, your not Minutemen material. Same for insubordination, not having it. I'm not going to make it an dictatorship, there just needs to be some respect. We don't need a repeat of Quincy.

Also we would invest in some power armor. There's a minuteman paint job for t-45 armor, so why not start there? I'm actually doing this in-game right now.

Start tempting the gunners/mercenaries into my ranks to create a reliable counter force to the Minutemen since they are essentially useless in anything but settlement defence, this would then give me time to create a true disciplined force (equipped from my mass stockpile of weapons and armour) to replace both of them instead of doing everything myself.

Then one man, one vote and I'd be that man.
