Basically, what would you do to prepare for a nuclear apocalypse. What would you get to help keep you alive, what skills do you have, does your location make your survival harder or easier (e.g. do you live in a large city, or small rural areas), what items would you collect, ect. Try to keep it realistic, don't say that you'd grab a tank, a helicopter, and an entire military armoury, along with a grocery stores stock, and sit in the middle of no where.
I live a bit away from Canada's capital of Ottawa. I have a feeling it would be hit, but not by a massive amount of missiles.
I have knowledge of first aid, and I have a kit, so I would be able to help with any injuries. I would go out and buy canned food, and bottled water before the bombs dropped.
For weapons, I'd have to use what is around my house. We don't have any guns, but we have a chainsaw, hatchet, a few baseball bats, and other tools that could be used as weapons, or a way to make weapons. I do also have a number of people that live in our house, and a couple of pets, so I assume food would be a very important issue.
I think we may also would have power. Our power comes from a hydro-electric damn (our own mini Hoover Dam ), and if that fails, a huge solar panel farm is outside of our town.
Biggest problems for us would be the fallout from Ottawa, and maybe people going nuts and looting. Quite a lot of hunters live outside of the town.
So, you guys go ahead and say your ideas, and opinions.
