How would you survive a Zombie Apocalypse

Post » Mon Jan 04, 2010 1:16 am

If there is an RP consider me to be a loner with a lifetime supply of batteries listening to Gorillaz, at least for a bit.
My entries will probably be few and far between.

alright will do, i guess i take over as the kinda leader of the log entry book, ohh and also since the moderators arent involving themselves much in this we need to appoint leaders for each stronghold so that things can be a little more coordinated.

i nominate Vorlex for texas

Old_Andy for Texel

myself for the tortugas since i know alot about florida being that ive lived here my whole life, and since it was my idea.

and Dr.Strangelove for his carnival.

I think it's kinda obvious that those who created the ideas for the certain strongholds, should be leaders. Course, the Florida idea you guys can flip a coin or something. But I think Peace Bullet will run that since his ship and all. Teehee will be the English ship I guess, since you all say Teehee's ship. :P

yeah haha

so the leaders are

Texas-Verlox
Florida-aSaPp!5@
English ship-Teehee
American ship-PeaceBullet
Texel-Old_Andy
Alaska-(unknown)
Carnival-Dr. Stranglove
The Brotherhood-Parham
?land Islands-Da Nang

NOTE: if you feel the leader of your stronghold is not a good leader and that someone else could do a better job, you can argue your case and it will be up to a majority vote of everyone in the entire thread as to who the leader will be.

Exactly. If I started a fortress, you can be damn sure I would run it. I wouldn't accept a usurption of my position from anybody, least of all a person I don't know, or a person I don't respect.

Since I wasn't added 2 Alaska I propose to start an Oregon holdout for west coast forumers.
Its on bridge going over 99E highway and right next to bunch of stores like Fred Meyer, and tons of resturants for food
The Bridge was originally part of a logging road and located just a few miles from my location here in Canby
WE WILL HAVE PLENTY OF WATER :)

what about protection? is it geographically fit for survival?

you have to think of every scenario before picking a location, like the rason i chose the tortugas was because its isolated with no means of reaching it by land, and it has a huge spanish fort on it for protection, the keys are right next to it and they arent very populated compared to the rest of florida, mostly small towns that are easy to raid. so it would be ideal for holdingout.

ohh and sorry verlox, its a bad habit, i always think of vortex when i type your name :P

It would also be prudent to reach an agreement on what kind of zombies we're talkin' 'bout here.

the slow zombies that can only be alive until thier body deteriorates and that have to have blood in their system to manuever, kinda like the zombies from round 1 on nazi zombies.

What do you think aSaPp!5@?

and i say no since its on a bridge and if the zombies come from both sides either you better have a couple vulcan mini-guns or you better know how to BASE jump off the side.

I vote for the slow, shuffling zombies as described in the Zombie Survival Guide

Alternate plan for me and other Midwest Forumers:
We steal a riverboat and head down the Mississippi River and go to the Dry Tortugas or try to meet up with Peace Bullet and his ship.

peacebullets ship isnt coming to the tortugas, as far as i know its a permanet stronghold unless we decide to go to Texel because of the research laboratories and the large amount of supplies and millitary back-up.

Alright then, we'll probably head to the Tortugas then. Forgot to mention that it's a riverboat casino we're going to steal. Probably one down in Louisville so that way we can head down the Ohio River until it meets with the Mississppi and then pick up some Cajun food in New Orleans, and then make our way to the Tortugas.

i suggest getting a really big boat, like medium yacht size if your going to try to go straight across the gulf, because there can be really bad storms out there, in minor storms at 3 miles out the waves can reach like 5 or 6 feet, so imagine being in a river boat 80 miles out being thrown around by 15ft waves.

either that or follow the coast a mile or 2 out until you get to ft. myers and then head south west torwards the western end of the keys.

ohh also like deadspartan24 said, how many people? and be warned, you will be quarantined individually for 3 days in sealed rooms to make sure no one is contaminated. you will also have obligations to be in the raid lottery where names will be drawn out of a hat for raids, after 2 consecutive raids if your picked again you can opt out of the raid. and also you will have mandatory watch duties as well as helping with fort maintainence so we can keep it up and running.
if we have enough people and supplies we might post a team at the tower to listen for radio transmissions.

I say to be more realistic, and fun, we keep to the classic shuffling, slow, and mindless zombies we've all come to love in George A. Romero films.

As for those Zombie Sheets, here's my proper one. http://s862.photobucket.com/albums/ab186/DeadKennedysFan1982/?action=view¤t=Zombie-2.jpg

Look on google earth :
1. Canby Oregon
2. Look for a bridge that goes across the main highway ;thats what im talking about and its easy to secure
-FYI only about 3 million people in Oregon and only like 13,000 here in Canby so not to many zombies
and about half a million rednecks who are very prepared and have guns which means even less zombies

has anybody considered that maybe being zombie would actually be fun. no cares in the world except for BRAAINS. dont have to go to work. sleep in as late as you want. BRAAAAAAINS and if you want a snack just shuffle over and grab one of the stupid humans that decided to barricade into a mall and allow themselves to be surrounded. i mean come on. we arent exactly the einsteins of in the monster family tree but even we arent that dumb. BRRARRRAAAAIINNNNSS!!!!!

You're safer at my Carvial, high in the Sierra Nevada's. ;)

I could have gone with something heavier from Empire Strikes First or some even earlier things. But Pity the Dead talks about the dead, (obviously) so it could be fun killing zombies with that song. Besides, I've got all Bad Religion albums on CD, so it's obvious I'll have something from them to play. :P

alright ill check that out.

ohh and look at this http://www.pleasanthillgrain.com/berkey_light_big_berkey_water_filter_british_berkefeld_portable_purifier.aspx, it has berkely water purifiers that completely clean water and can sustain 325 people per unit, they are also gravity operated so no electicity is needed. we need as many of these as possible. and also the solar chargers on the same sight.
