How would you survive a Zombie Apocalypse

Post » Mon Jan 04, 2010 9:52 am

i suggest getting a really big boat, like medium yacht size if your going to try to go straight across the gulf, because there can be really bad storms out there, in minor storms at 3 miles out the waves can reach like 5 or 6 feet, so imagine being in a river boat 80 miles out being thrown around by 15ft waves.

either that or follow the coast a mile or 2 out until you get to ft. myers and then head south west torwards the western end of the keys.

ohh also like deadspartan24 said, how many people? and be warned, you will be quarantined individually for 3 days in sealed rooms to make sure no one is contaminated. you will also have obligations to be in the raid lottery where names will be drawn out of a hat for raids, after 2 consecutive raids if your picked again you can opt out of the raid. and also you will have mandatory watch duties as well as helping with fort maintainence so we can keep it up and running.
if we have enough people and supplies we might post a team at the tower to listen for radio transmissions.

http://www.mississippi-river-boat-trip.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/riverboat-casino-downtown-stl.jpg a picture of an average riverboat casino. Hopefully I can hold out at the top of the http://www.my-indy.com/Monument%20Circle.jpg in the Circle in Indianapolis while I wait for other survivors from the Midwest to meet me, and then we head down to Louisville to get the boat, picking up other survivors who live near the Mississippi River. It'd probably be best to hug the shoreline, and if the riverboat isn't working out too well, we can steal a fairly large shrimping boat in Mobil or New Orleans. The shrimping boat would probably be more useful than a riverboat, with the ability to catch a bunch of seafood and whatnot. We could probably send 2 or 3 people to trail the riverboat in it.

I looked it up, and it look like a death trap. You'd be better off in Alaska.

i suggest looking on google earth around your area for a place that is isolated, and away from population centers, has good gepgraphoc features, like a plateau on the other side of a cleft in the mountain that funnels all the zombies into a small choke point.

Suffer would be best I think.

I could do something from How Could Hell Be Any Worse? Maybe the fifth track from that album? Or maybe We're All Going to Die from the same album?

thats a good plan, and i highly recoment the shrimp boats since the river boat looks like if a big enough wave hit it, it would go down since the sides are really low and it looks a little top heavy, better yet, try to find a large boat thats faster than the casino boat this will ensure that you reach the coast before it gets to bad in New orleans, its going to be like going through hell getting out of there if you take to much time and let the infection spread.

Yes, of course you'll just attract more zombies with the music, but that means more fun!

Well I will of course have a corral for those I can't use in my Carnival right away.

Plus, my Carnival will always be playing the music I put on the speakers.

Something from The Exploited would be cool and loud.

How do you plan on carrying all that?
Hopefully you wont pull a Link and place them all in your Magical Pants of Never-Ending Storage.

in our plan we're hijacking 4 or 5 boats to get to the coast, so if we grab 5 or 6 of each gun, and all the ammo for them, we can load them up on my trailer and in my jeep and take the to the river to load in the boats with the supplies.

and i will have a M16A4, a colt 1911, a 12gauge autoloading berreta combat shotgun, and a .308 hunting rifle probably and R700 if he has one which he is likely to.

like 48 i think, hes a fish and game warden and trades guns with all the other officers and stuff, and since hes law enforecement he's allowed to have guns civilians cant, thats how he gets his hands on all the automatic assault rifles. he also hunts alot so he buys alot of hunting guns. i think last year he got like 70 something new guns hes in the 300's now.

Does he have a family? Wife, kids living with him?

If so, you're going to probably have to bring him along with you or face his arsenal of weapons.

yeah he has 3 kids and a wife, but chance is hes going to be out on the gulf dealing with the oil spill, he goes out at weeks at a time. and if the apocalypse happens after the spill is cleaned up i can just wait until hes out on patrol or something and go take all the guns from his shed behind his house, if i do it at night real quietly they wont notice, the shed is like 100 yards from the house.

and anyways my mom and his wife are like best friends so i dont think that he'd mind me taking guns if the world was going to end.

Yeah, cause people don't mind if you take their guns when the worlds going to hell, and won't mind that you're leaving them out to dry and be killed by zombies. Nah, they won't care at all.

well his plan will probabaly be find a military base and get out, or go find his redneck hunting buddies and hold out somewhere, and anyways, he has 300+ guns, he knows who i am and likes me, so i dont think he have a problem with me taking what he needs from his overfilled shed of deadly weapons. and id tell him that we're holding out in my shop so he would get any ideas about us leaving him there along while we head to the tortugas.
