Hello, I created a poll as to peoples choice in racial selection. Altmer I have chosen time again to be my main based on the lore, though my second choice would be dark Elf for aesthetic reasons, alliance alignment hasn't affected my choice in TESO but, I will include it as a choice in the poll. thank you for voting.

You forgot the most important point, which is primary for me: racial skills Each race has its own passive skills which means different races are differently suited for particular weapons, armor, health, stamina, magicka etc.

Skills are what makes my choice easier.

I pick a style I want to try, then I'll most likely pick a race to better define that style.

Ya you really should add "Racial Passives" to the poll. Most important for many.

Always played a Dunmer as my main in TES games, will be no different for ESO.

I just like the lore to the dunmer, I have played other races in the single player game, but always start a new ES game as a dunmer.

For me its the lore, and the culture. Breton it is for me.

I play the Elven races (and orcs and breton's, which are for all intents and purpose, Half-elves with a different background) because i play those races all the time in other RPG's. I also LOVE the lore around them as well, so that helps.
